About us
Who we are
The Lighthouse Charity provides 24/7 holistic support to our UK and Ireland construction community on all aspects of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing.
A crucial element of the charity’s strategy is to provide a range of free and widely available reactive and proactive resources to support the industry.
We offer a free and confidential 24/7 helpline, live web chat service and text facility which provides a range of information, guidance and support on a huge variety of wellbeing issues. These services are complemented by our free self-support app, along with our Lighthouse Beacons who provide a safe space for people to share concerns.
Our Wellbeing Academy offers a variety of free soft skills and leadership training delivered across a variety of platforms to suit every learning style.
Our culture and values
Our charity is built on 3 core values that we demonstrate throughout every level of the organisation.
Support – “We support each other and our industry with empathy, compassion and kindness.”
Passion – “We are passionate about restoring hope.”
Integrity – “We trust and respect each other and are professional in everything we do.”
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is committed to encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion within its organisation, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. We believe in fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and included. Our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) is fundamental to our culture, operations, and success. We recognise the strength that comes from embracing diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, and as we recognise that everyone has different needs and circumstances in life, we will ensure our people are given the resources they need to achieve the same things as others. We are dedicated to creating a workplace that reflects and celebrates the richness of our community.
