Job description

Manchester Mind believes in the power of listening and feeling heard and that a better understanding of mental health benefits everyone. We do this by providing a range of services across Manchester to young people and adults.

Manchester Mind is currently developing a new partnership project with Home Start Mcr for women and families living in North Manchester and impacted/affected by perinatal mental health issues. We are looking to recruit a Mums Matter Co-ordinator who would recruit to and deliver an eight-week Mums Matter course and then enhance the support offered through the development of continuing peer support groups.

We would like to work with someone who is experienced, dynamic and passionate about being able to develop and deliver accessible mental health support services.

Position: Mums Matter Co-ordinator

Salary: £26,317

Hours: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term project 2 years

The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:

  • Experience of developing kind relationships to create a sense of belonging.
  • Experience of working with people who have lived experience of mental health and/or perinatal mental health problems and an understanding of how that affects individuals and their families.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training.
