Location: Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space (CHWS), Whitgift Centre, North End, Croydon CR0 1LP (additional locations may be identified in the future)

Hours: 36 hours per week (full time), Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working required

Croydon Health & Wellbeing Space (CHWS) is an exciting and dynamic service, run in partnership with Mind in Croydon and Croydon BME Forum and commissioned by South London and Maudsley Mental Health Service (SLaM). The CHWS opened in 2022 with the aim of providing advice, information, and specialist support to Croydon residents with mental health concerns, who drop-in, or have been referred to the via the local Integrated Care Network Plus multi-disciplinary clinical and community mental health support teams.

The Advice Worker will be part of a friendly team, including crisis workers and clinical mental health professionals and function as the first point of access for visitors to the CHWS. Following an initial conversation to ascertain the clients’ needs, the Advice Worker will provide information and advice, as well as signposting and referrals to specialist services, such as the Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinators, Social Prescribers and Community Link Workers, in addition to the wider voluntary and statutory services in the borough. The role will be fast paced and vary each day offering a fantastic opportunity for the postholder to develop their knowledge and skills and make a difference to the users of this service.

About the role

You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. Through developing and expanding income through grants, evolving our case for support, and managing relationships with a variety of grant funders, you will transform survivors’ lives and help us be part of the systems change to end sexual violence.

You will undertake new prospect research, keep up-to-date with the sector at large, and maintain and grow our funding pipeline. You will also write compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals, alongside timely reports to funders. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and offer opportunities to engage funders directly with our work.

You will be passionate about implementing the SARSAS fundraising strategy ensuring that SARSAS can continue to deliver support to meet the needs of those who have been raped and sexually abused across Avon and Somerset.

You will be a skilled writer who is confident in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects to continue our successful growth. You will have strong relationship management skills and will be able to build and sustain long-term relationships with funders, as well as identify opportunities to deepen funders’ commitment to our cause.

You will have strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a workload which balances application and reporting deadlines alongside funder stewardship and pipeline development. You will also be a good team player and self-starter – we’re a small team who manage our own workloads, but we relish the opportunity to come together, share ideas and take creative risks.

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

We deliver a range of support, including, but not limited to, a helpline, online web chat, self-help resources, counselling, specialist support work, drop-in services and group work.

Contract information

• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 - depending on experience (FTE)

We are looking for a Step 2 and Step 3 Manager to join our leadership team within our NHS Talking Therapies Service. WithYou is a charity providing free, confidential support to people experiencing challenges with drugs, alcohol or mental health.

In this exciting role, you will work with a wide range of mental health practitioners, partner providers and referrers to develop and grow our mental health workforce in Kent and Medway. You will be responsible for supporting the development of Step 2 and Step 3 (where appropriate) Talking Therapy services in line with local needs and contractual specification. As a Manager, you will effectively support and line manage a team of Step 2 or Step 3 Talking Therapies staff to deliver WithYou’s strategic objectives and support them with developing their performance in their clinical work.

We offer remote working however travel within Kent and London for meetings and events may be required.

Please note that we are looking for two Step 2 Managers (1x 37.5 hours and 1x 30 hours per week) and we are looking for two fixed term Step 3 Managers (due to end in January 2027).

Essential Skills

• ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent or a commitment to complete within 18-months

Job Purpose

This role sits within our new project supporting male asylum seekers accommodated in hotels based in Ealing. The service aims to address mental health challenges exacerbated by displacement, trauma, and isolation, with a culturally sensitive approach that prioritises language accessibility, stigma reduction, and improved access to onward referrals.

This will be achieved through in-reach targeted group sessions and 1:1 tailored support sessions, addressing:

The Role

The role of the Mental Health (Asylum Seekers) Coordinator is to engage male asylum seekers who are accommodated in hotels in Ealing; arrange, coordinate and facilitate a range of culturally appropriate psychoeducation, peer-led and expressive activities which will be delivered twice a week. The role will also include 1:1 sessions; providing mental health stabilisation, advice and support to connect with wider services including multilingual engagement. This role includes autonomous and creative thinking.

Job Title: Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker 

Location: Based in Catford in a well connected area near Bellingham, Catford, and Catford Bridge stations, with nearby bus stops. Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at this location and some of our other sites.

Salary: £28,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota which includes 3 to 4 night shifts a week between 20:00 - 08:30. There may be some flexibility required around these hours as per service requirements.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to support in leading the night shift within our Lewisham service. The service offers specialist intensive rehabilitation for people who require more enhanced interventions than that which is offered within community services. We provide residents with support to step down into less supported accommodation, becoming more independent and integrated into the community. 

As a Senior within the team, you will be the main point of contact during the night shift across two residential properties, leading the team by example, providing specialist support and managing the environment to be psychologically informed to empower the team and residents to ensure safety, wellbeing, and progress towards resident recovery goals. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored, person centred support that promotes recovery, rehabilitation and independence.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Ensuring a calm, safe, and supportive environment that promotes positive engagement and progress.
• Remain alert and monitor CCTV throughout the shift.
• Complete all routine night duties and any tasks handed over by the day shift or service manager.
• Key worker responsibilities: complete inductions, support plans, reviews, risk assessments, and welfare checks; update records, monitor access, manage unauthorized visitors, follow missing person protocols, and escalate issues to on call when needed.

About You

We’re looking for a resilient and compassionate individual to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker, supporting residents to reach their full potential within a flexible, recovery focused service. You’ll provide high quality care, working collaboratively as part of a supportive team that values communication, empathy, and empowerment. You will be able to be proactive and continue supporting our residents even during quieter hours, supporting with ensuring the service runs smoothly and you are actively engaged with the wider team and residents, supporting the team to stay motivated and working together to achieve the service KPI's. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Previous experience working with people with multiple complex backgrounds/needs, mental health, substance misuse, alcohol, and behaviours
• Previous experience creating co-produced support plans, key working, and care planning, providing appropriate interventions for service users
• Previous experience in a similar position, where you can share your skills knowledge, and experience to support others
• Ability to be a point of contact and specialist in the service to support the team and residents with various queries and challenges
• IT Proficiency; ability to learn new software and basic Microsoft

We have established strong foundations, including secured funding from the Big Lottery Community Fund over three years, a full Board of Trustees, and a growing programme of 8 events each week, including Walk & Talks and Sports Hubs. Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

· Lead the day-to-day running and strategic direction of the charity in line with the Board’s vision.

· Develop, manage, and oversee the charity's resources and workstreams.

· Support the Board with fundraising strategy and financial accountability, including financial forecasting and reporting to funders.

2. Programme Management & Delivery

· Directly manage the Programme & Projects Manager and the Regional Event Leaders, and assist in the recruitment process for the newly established Volunteering Co-ordinator and the Wellbeing Coach/Coordinator roles. 

· Drive the delivery and expansion of our core programmes, including the Physical Activities (Walk & Talks, Sports Hubs), Volunteer Engagement, Community Partnerships and the Personal Wellbeing Plans (PWP)18.

· Develop and implement the Marauders Pathway Programme to establish a culture of good citizenship and peer support.

3. People & Volunteer Management

· Provide leadership, support, and development for staff, managing issues such as payroll, sickness, and holidays.

· Oversee the Volunteer Co-ordinator to develop a comprehensive volunteer management process, including recruitment, training, and 'Reward & Recognition’.

· Help inspire 100 men to give back to the community through volunteering.

4. Partnerships & IT Development

· Maintain and forge new community partnerships (e.g. with voluntary organisations, NGO’s, other charities and social enterprises) to enhance volunteering, education, and wellbeing services.

· Spearhead the development of our IT Platform, focusing on a robust website and a Beneficiary Management System (CRM) for efficient reporting, data capture, and engagement.

· Oversee digital marketing and communications, including newsletters and social media content.

THE CHARITY

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.   

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.  We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking to recruit Suicide Prevention Therapists to support men in suicidal crisis at our new pilot service in St Helens. This role is part of an exciting new initiative for our charity.

As a Suicide Prevention Therapist, you will be an experienced mental health professional or therapist with demonstrable interest in suicide prevention. You will support men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis and their supporter(s), delivering our unique intervention and co-producing effective safety plans to maintain their safety.

The successful candidate will join an experienced and supportive team, gradually building a caseload to assist men in suicidal crisis as we expand our referral partnerships and raise awareness in St Helens. Training and support will be provided by the Head of Centre and Senior Therapist in Liverpool, as well as the wider James’ Place team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical

· Conduct initial Welcome Assessments with men in a suicidal crisis, assessing risk and the suitability of the James’ Place intervention and co-producing effective safety plans

· Deliver our therapeutic intervention, building trust and exploring the reasons for crisis

· Use the Lay Your Cards on the Table intervention to encourage men to talk about and explore their feelings, attitudes and behaviours and develop positive coping strategies

· Take full clinical responsibility of the men under James’ Place care, as a member of the clinical team and in consultation with Senior Suicide Prevention Therapist and Head of Centre when needed

· Escalate care to appropriate services when necessary, including emergency services and secondary mental health teams

· Deliver one-off guidance sessions to supporters of men under the James’ Place care

· Work collaboratively with other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care

· Demonstrate self-awareness and regularly dedicate time and space, inside and outside of work, to keeping yourself well

· Undergo clinical supervision with a qualified supervisor to reflect on clinical work and raise any issues or concerns arising from work

· Remain up to date with developments in law, theories and research

· Engage in peer support sessions, caseload discussions and reflective practice with the team

· Contribute to an environment in which confidentiality, privacy and dignity are respected and be clear with clients about limits of confidentiality

· Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The role requires someone with a relevant qualification who can confidently support men experiencing a suicidal crisis. You will need to be able to effectively conduct risk assessments and deliver our clinically proven therapeutic intervention to ensure client safety. Strong therapeutic communication, the ability to work autonomously and teamwork skills are also essential to this role, as well as the ability to build trust and hope.

Qualification(s)

· A Core Profession such as Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, counselling or practitioner psychologist registered with NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England

or

· Accreditation as a psychological therapist, psychotherapist, or counsellor registered with BACP, UKCP, BABCP or equivalent, or have completed training and awaiting accreditation

You must hold a relevant qualification to be considered for this role.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· Demonstrable experience working with adults experiencing acute psychological distress

· Demonstrable knowledge of social and other factors which could lead to suicidal thinking and actions

· Demonstrable knowledge of the factors contributing to male suicide

· Evidence of being able to deliver a therapeutic session and work in a therapeutic environment  

· Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult situations

· Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions

· An ability to collaborate with clients in the development of a person centred, individual intervention plan

· An ability to engage clients in the intervention plan, overcoming barriers to communication

Role 

This is an entry level, part-time administrative role within the Volunteer Recruitment & Training team 

The Listening Place (TLP) is an award-winning charity providing face-to-face, compassionate and non-judgemental support for people who feel that life is no longer worth living.  Since opening our first site in Pimlico in 2016, we have grown to four sites and our service is delivered by over 850 active volunteers.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated team and play a vital role in ensuring our volunteers are recruited, trained and prepared to deliver our outstanding service. You will provide high quality administrative support across the volunteer recruitment and training process, helping the team to operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide administrative support across the volunteer recruitment and training process 

• Liaise with potential volunteers, interviewers and trainers 

• Arrange and coordinate meetings, interviews and training events (this may involve travelling between sites) 

• Manage room bookings and logistics for training and interviews 

• Monitor shared mailboxes and calendars; respond promptly to email and telephone enquiries 

• Request, track and record volunteer references

Duration: Permanent, full time

Key Responsibilities

The Rota Coordinator: 

• Welcomes and onboards new volunteers, allocating shifts that reflect their shift preferences 

• Ensures all appointments are effectively covered and works closely with the Visitor Support team to achieve this 

• Stands down volunteers when cover that has been booked in advance is no longer needed

• Takes the preferences of visitors into account when cover shifts are booked —  e.g., ensures that a male volunteer has not been booked to see someone who cannot see a man 

• Ensures cover volunteers can meet the needs of the shift, e.g. that an assessment trained volunteer covers where initial assessment appointments are booked in 

• Helps build a ‘cover bank’ of volunteers they can call on a short notice

• Tactfully reminds volunteers of their commitment to our visitors — where necessary 

• Works (indirectly) with software developers to improve the volunteer database 

• Records and updates important information about our volunteers, treating information about their personal lives with sensitivity and respect 

• Flags to supervising volunteers and the Head of Volunteer Management if a volunteer has frequent absences / cancellations or if they appear in need additional support 

• Puts people on leave of absence, after consulting Visitor Support, and follows up with them about return dates 

•  Liaises closely with Volunteer Recruitment and Training, who will give them the names and numbers of new volunteers and their shift preferences and organise refresher training for volunteers returning from leave of absence

MediCinema is a UK-registered charity dedicated to providing cinema experiences inside hospitals to support the emotional, physical and mental health of NHS patients, their families, and carers. For 25 years, we have brought the power of cinema to hospitals, and in recognition of our impact, MediCinema was honoured with BAFTA’s Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.

We build and run fully accessible cinemas within hospitals, screening the latest films at no cost to patients or the NHS. The Role

Reporting to the CEO, this new senior leadership role is central to ensuring MediCinema’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and people-centred culture. The Director will lead the charity’s finance, HR, and business operational functions, ensuring robust systems, compliance, and strategic alignment with our mission.

This is a hands-on role for a values-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-led environment and is passionate about improving patient experiences through innovative service delivery.

This role will be managing external HR and IT consultants and supported by a part time (1 day per week) assistant.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

· Participate in strategic and business planning processes, supporting the CEO and trustees to develop the strategic plan

· Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) contributing to the strategic direction and day to day management of the organisation.

Finance

· Lead the finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.

· Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Manage cashflow, reserves, and risk, supporting strategic financial planning.

· Lead on financial reporting to the Board and relevant committees.

· Oversee payroll, pensions, and financial administration.

· Managing the annual audit process and liaising with auditors

· Liaising with tax specialists on VAT, corporation tax and other matters as required.

· Manage contracts, suppliers, and internal processes to ensure value and efficiency.

· Support the commissioning of new MediCinema sites, including project planning and stakeholder engagement.

· Lead on the annual insurance renewal process

HR and People Development

· Lead on strategic workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention.

· Embed inclusive HR policies and practices aligned with MediCinema’s values.

· Provide support and evolve processes to strengthen employee relations, performance management, and wellbeing.

· Support line managers in developing high-performing, motivated teams.

· Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practice.

· Work with the external HR consultant on HR admin,including due diligence, onboarding and recruitment.

Governance and Compliance

· Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures across finance, HR, and operations.

· Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safeguarding requirements.

· Support the CEO and Board with governance processes, reporting, and policy development.

The Person

Experience and Background

We are seeking a strategic leader with experience across finance, operations, and HR — ideally within the UK charity or public health sector. You may have worked in healthcare, education, or social impact organisations, and bring a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and people leadership. Candidates with a relevant background in SMEs may be considered, but will need to demonstrate a commitment to quickly developing the specialist knowledge required by charity regulations and an aptitude for operating within the third sector.

You will be comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment, with a deep respect for MediCinema’s mission and values.

Skills and Qualifications

· Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT)

· Strong understanding of HR, IT, risk management, and governance in small teams

· Proven experience managing budgets, audits, and accounts (Quickbooks experience ideal)

· Excellent project management and strategic planning skills

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and mentor others
