About us
Who we are
Solden Hill House is a Northamptonshire charity providing high-quality residential care and supported living for more than 50 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
Across our homes in Byfield, Brackley, Duston and the surrounding areas, we provide 24-hour, person-centred support that enables people to live fulfilling lives, develop their independence, build confidence and achieve the things that matter to them.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to make choices, develop skills, enjoy new experiences and be an active part of their community.
Our services are built around the individual. From everyday living skills and communication to work-based activities, hobbies, holidays, friendships and community involvement, our aim is to provide the right support for each person to live their life in the way that is right for them.
We work with more than 18 Local Authorities across England, as well as supporting self-funded individuals, and have built our reputation through many years of dedicated, compassionate and person-centred support.
Our culture and values
At Solden Hill House, the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.
Our approach is based on individuality, equality, dignity, respect and lifelong learning. We recognise that every person has different strengths, aspirations, interests and support needs, and our role is to help each individual live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
We encourage choice, independence and participation, while providing safe, compassionate and consistent support.
These principles extend to the way we work as an organisation. We value teamwork, openness, accountability and continuous improvement. We want our staff, Trustees and the people we support to feel listened to, respected and able to contribute.
We are proud of our history, but equally focused on the future – continually looking at how we can strengthen our services, develop our people and create new opportunities for the individuals we support.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Solden Hill House is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion throughout our organisation.
We believe everyone should be treated with dignity, fairness and respect, and we value the different experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and skills that people bring to our organisation.
We are committed to providing an inclusive environment for the people we support, our employees, Trustees, volunteers and applicants, and to ensuring that individuals are not unfairly disadvantaged or excluded.
We welcome applications from people from a wide range of backgrounds and encourage an inclusive culture where people feel respected, listened to and able to contribute.
Where reasonable adjustments or alternative formats are required during a recruitment process, we encourage applicants to contact us so that we can support their individual needs.
