About us

Who we are

We make sure young people don't face cancer alone. That might mean providing treatment and support for young people in one of our comfortable, contemporary specialist cancer wards, or travelling to other hospitals and to young people's homes to make sure we reach everyone who needs us, wherever they live.  We offer unique care and support, designed for and with young people. We fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS, so young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout treatment.

We also spread the word about the impact of cancer on young people. We do presentations in schools. We help medical professionals and politicians to understand why young people with cancer need specific support. And we publish a wide range of no-nonsense information resources.

And we make sure that we're there for young people from the moment cancer is diagnosed until long after treatment is over. Whether it's helping young people return to work or school, or giving advice about dealing with long-term side effects, our events and support help young people figure out what normal looks like now.

Our culture and values

We are:

DETERMINED we dream big, face problems and get things done.

UNITED we’re a community, working with knowledge, passion and respect.

SPIRITED we’re brave, energetic and believe in possibilities.

KIND we see everyone’s value, treat them as individuals and welcome their ideas.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

At Teenage Cancer Trust one of our key focuses is around equity and making sure our services are accessible and inclusive to all young people with cancer, with no-one left behind. We have the same goal for people working with us. We want you to be yourself here and thrive doing so. In line with our Equity, Diversity & Inclusion commitments, we would love to see applications from LGBTQ+ people, people of colour/those from ethnically diverse communities, people living with disabilities and people of faith.
