Who we are

We are the only UK charity focused exclusively on funding animal-free medical research. We award grants to UK-based scientists to develop human-based and in silico methods to research human diseases without the use of animals or animal-derived products. Since 1961 we have invested over £12m in UK research. All our funding is from donations and legacies from members of the public.
