About us
Who we are
YCS is a registered charity, established in 2011 by a small group of therapists with a vision to provide accessible counselling services to those who cannot otherwise be able to afford or access it.
We offer counselling services in Cardiff and online services across Wales.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances, has access to professional and effective mental health support.
Our vision is to create a more emotionally resilient and mentally healthy society where individuals are equipped to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
Our services are delivered by a team of qualified counsellors and supervised trainees, ensuring both affordability and high-quality care. We currently offer low-cost counselling via self-referral and a 'pay-it-forward' counselling scheme for those that can afford a qualified counsellor, their fee helps fund someone else.
Our culture and values
Counselling and therapeutic services accessible for all.
We contribute to the well-being of communities in Wales by providing counselling and other therapeutic services to people in need, especially those who experience difficulty in accessing services.

You, any volunteers and any job applicants, will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation (Protected Characteristics).
The principles of non-discrimination and equality of opportunity also apply to the way in which staff treat visitors, clients, customers, suppliers and former staff members.
