The small yet busy Solution Delivery Team is expanding from six to ten employees, sitting within the IT Department. The team work within Cats Protection to identify issues and provide technical solutions, utilizing both off the shelf products or in-house developed solutions as required. Internal solutions are built using a range of technologies focused around the Azure Stack, including low code/no code solutions, C# and T-SQL code as required.
Responsibilities of our Solution Developer:
As a Solution Developer you will be working on a number of exciting new projects as well as helping to support and upgrade existing applications. This role gives the post holder exposure to Cloud First development work and the opportunity to work with the latest technology.
Current projects include:
- Updating our Neutering Finance system to move from a paperbased system towards an electronic version
- Replacing our CRM, a system at the heart of many of our processes and data flows, and integrating it with a number of new and existing systems
- The redevelopment/migration of existing systems into fully cloud based systems.
What we’re looking for in our Solution Developer:
- Significant experience in software development using C# and TSQL or another development skill involving systems implementation
- Experience in functional and automated testing, producing test driven development
- Demonstratable knowledge of Azure Stack development, specifically around pipelines, functions, logic apps and service buses
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- The ability to apply specific quality standards to all tasks undertaken to ensure that deliverables are accurate and complete
- To show understanding for the needs of the internal or external customer and keeping these in mind when taking actions or making decisions
- To identify gaps in the available information required to understand a problem or situation and able to devise a means of resolving them

Job Purpose
To oversee the day-to-day delivery of CQC registered high quality dignified residential care and support services promoting respect, equality and the independence of the people supported.
Principal Accountabilities
- Efficiently manage the day-to-day delivery of the adult residential care home service
- Manage staffing levels to ensure sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff.

Duties and key responsibilities
Community fundraising
- Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
- Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
- Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
- Identify opportunities and recruit new community fundraisers, fundraising groups, corporate and school partners.

Processes, administration, and reporting

- Ensure all recording, and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
- Ensure necessary Community Fundraising policies are up to date.
- Follow Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures including risk assessments to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a high level of support expected by our donors and fundraisers.
- Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.
Wider fundraising
- Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
- Support third party fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
- Work with the Events Manager to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
- Support with managing merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.
General
- The role requires some travel to events and meetings throughout the UK. Some weekend or evening work will also be required and time off in lieu will be given. Travel expenses will be reimbursed (exc. Travel to the Sarcoma UK office).

Recruitment and Induction
- Manage the volunteer recruitment mailbox
- Act as a first point of contact for all volunteer enquiries
- Work with colleagues to conduct volunteer interviews over the phone /on teams
- Process DBS checks and references as required
- Work with the Safer Recruitment Lead (National Volunteer Manager) to ensure volunteers are approved as active.
- Work within the volunteering team to streamline recruitment processes, providing a quick enjoyable experience for new volunteers
- Work with local managers to support effective matching of new volunteers
- Ensure all volunteer communications follows brand guidelines
Training and Engagement
- Book volunteers on mandatory training, including sending reminders to increase engagement and retention on sessions
- Support the National Volunteering Manager to engage with volunteers nationally, facilitating consistent communication and recognition of volunteers.
Compliance of volunteers:
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure the recruitment process is fully compliant
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Process all new volunteer data using a central database
- Run reports as and when required.
Other
- Work to objectives as set by your line manager
- Support the volunteer team as required with additional administrative support in the processing and management of volunteers.

- Understand the Home-Start Cymru safeguarding policy, processes, and practices.

Acting as a strategic people partner for Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation, this role will drive people management initiatives, support the Foundation Strategy and the delivery of a strategic plan to achieve this. The role will have a designated internal client base to directly partner and will support the Foundation in promoting its corporate values and shaping a positive culture.
This role will establish consistency of practice with all Foundation People Business Partners and ensure delivery of a cost effective, customer-focussed service whilst continually striving for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
· Develop a thorough understanding of the Foundation and the business area where you are providing support in order to provide a full people partnering service.
· Translate People strategy and agreed deliverables for your designated business areas into achievable plans and a prioritised implementation map.
· Establish effective relationships with business leads to enable you to provide valued interventions and insights on people management strategies.
· Advise directorate managers on managing people effectively including treating people fairly and professionally to ensure employee engagement and the delivery of Foundation objectives.
· Work with directorate leads to identify skills and capabilities they need to deliver current and future work, liaising with the Talent Management Hub (Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition) to manage the resourcing and talent processes.
· Partner with business area leads to develop learning and development plans for your designated directorate, and liaise with the Learning & Development Manager to identify gaps in levels of capability.
· Work with the Head of Learning & Development to introduce talent mapping initiatives and ensure that leaders and managers within designated directorates are equipped with the skills and confidence to manage effectively.
· In liaison with the People Advisor, provide regular key people metrics with analysis, narrative and ideas to encourage your designated business leads/managers to seek continuous improvements and regular review of individual and team delivery.
· Work with, and bring in, specialists across the People & Culture directorate (e.g., Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, DEI) to respond to planned and emerging people and business objectives.
Advise, manage, and support
· Develop and maintain all Foundation policies, procedures, processes and forms required to deliver a People service capable of ensuring that the Foundation discharges its duties efficiently and effectively.
· Ensure legal compliance of all People processes and procedures, enabling best practice to be attained in providing guidance to managers and employees, and safeguarding the Foundation’s reputation in the execution of its duties.
· Ensure up to date knowledge of all employment policies and procedures and provide advice and input as required.
· Act as a point of contact for employees to discuss confidential matters or grievances.
· Partner with line managers to provide advice on employee issues, coach managers on how to manage people and resolve employee issues including via the grievance and disciplinary processes.
· Stay current on industry trends, employment law and best practice to provide guidance to managers and staff on all People, legal and compliance issues.
· Foster a positive working environment for all people working at the Foundation.
· Process monthly payroll promptly and accurately with supervision from the Senior People Business Partner.
· Contribute to the Foundation’s strategic approach to diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) and work to actively embed practices which promote DEI across the Foundation’s approach to its workforce and people processes.
· Act as a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) champion, representing the directorate and liaising with employee networks on People related issues, policies and procedures.
Performance management
· Partner with directorate leads to drive appropriate and timely performance management and improve performance delivery.
· Manage individual review cycles for your designated directorate, sending reminders to managers when reviews are due and signposting staff and Line Managers to further support and guidance.
· Coach managers on the use of PDPs.
· Promote mandatory eLearning and ensure it is undertaken within prescribed timescales.
· Working with the People Advisor and business leads provide oversight of the 360 feedback surveys for end of year reviews for your directorate.
Employee Engagement and Organisational Development
· Take on/lead any other projects as requested by the Head of People & Culture or Chief People Officer
· Nurture a positive working environment by embedding the company culture and values in the implementation of all people related initiatives.
· Provide mentorship to junior colleagues in the People & Culture directorate and play a key role in their development.

• Implementing and supporting change management with experience of TUPE/mergers.
