Job description

We are seeking a curious and innovative Proposition & Product Manager who is looking for the opportunity to develop new and existing, insight-led products to drive income. In this role you will also shape supporter journeys for fundraising and commercial products, managing the lifecycle, from concept through to performance evaluation.

You can join us to help keep even more people and pets together when times are tough. For over a century, PDSA have provided vital veterinary care for the pets of people in financial hardship. We deliver over 2 million treatments every year and handle over 300 emergencies every day. In fact, we treat more pets than all other UK vet charities combined.

We have ambitious plans ahead and providing compelling propositions that resonate with key audiences is essential in ensuring we can expand our reach to support even more people and their beloved pets. To achieve this, we need passionate and creative individuals who are ready to deliver change and ensure that all our supporters have a rewarding experience with our Charity.

If you're ready to make a real difference and be part of a team that's creating positive change, we want you to join us.

As Proposition & Product Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the design and production of product development

  • Lead and deliver product plans, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders with a strong audience focus

  • Use data and insights to test, inform and shape future developments

  • Identify opportunities for optimisation and new product ideas

  • Work with external suppliers, setting and managing objectives and ensuring delivery that fits with overall strategy, deadlines and targets

  • Ensure alignment of propositions and products with our brand

We’re seeking someone with:

  • Experience of developing and implementing new fundraising products that achieved challenging KPIs

  • Knowledge and experience of proposition and product development ranging across individual giving, legacy, in-memory, high-value fundraising, gaming and peer-to-peer fundraising

  • A proven track record of successfully working with suppliers

  • Evidence of developing effective stakeholder relationships across the organisation

  • Excellent communication skills with a drive to make a difference and increase engagement for PDSA

  • Experience in product development for commercial products is desirable but not essential

At PDSA, we care for both pets and people. As part of our team, you will enjoy a supportive, flexible working environment, along with a range of great benefits designed to make you feel valued:

  • Remote and flexible working options to suit your lifestyle.
  • 25 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays) with the option to buy and sell up to 5 days per year
  • Special days off – including a paid Volunteering Day, a Celebration Day for something meaningful to you, and a dedicated Wellbeing Day to focus on yourself.
  • Generous Auto-Enrolment pension and/or Contributory pension schemes available starting at an enhanced rate of 5% contributions up to 10%
  • Life Assurance policy (4 x Annual Salary)
  • Employee Assistance Program and Online Wellbeing Centre available 24/7 giving you the ability to speak with a professional in confidence about a range of issues
  • Wide range of discounts for Retail, Holiday and similar organisations on our fetch platform

PDSA is committed to embedding a culture of diversity and inclusion within our teams that reflect the communities we serve. We aim to create a working environment in which all individuals can make best use of their skills, free from discrimination or harassment, and in which all decisions are based on merit. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies and opportunities for flexible working arrangements to support team members from different backgrounds.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss via email or telephone reasonable adjustments that you may require throughout the recruitment process.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, adults at risk and all our colleagues and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.

To support this commitment, our recruitment & selection processes are robust and rigorous. All appointments will be subject to satisfactory references and appropriate background checks.
