About the role:
At the heart of Camden’s mission to end rough sleeping, the Gray's Inn Road project offers short-stay accommodation for 16 individuals experiencing some of the most challenging periods in their lives. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, this service plays a pivotal role in ensuring rough sleeping in Camden is not only rare but brief and not repeated. Residents typically stay between three to six months, during which time the focus is on creating pathways into safe, sustainable housing and renewed independence.
You’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, psychologically informed support. You’ll work closely with clients facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and histories with the criminal justice system. With your own caseload, you’ll conduct in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and facilitate interventions that reflect the needs, strengths and aspirations of each person. Every day brings new opportunities to connect people with education, training or employment, to help them rebuild practical life skills, and to foster progress towards long-term goals.

About this role
This is an exciting opportunity within our newly established advocacy function to support the delivery of Working Animals International’s global advocacy strategy as part of a small, dedicated team.

As a Project Worker at our Harrow Road Assessment Hub in Westminster, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, highly skilled team supporting people taking their first steps away from rough sleeping and towards safety, stability and the right next move. Westminster has some of the highest levels of rough sleeping in the UK, and this short-stay service offers intensive, person-centred support to people who may be facing crisis, multiple disadvantage and limited routes into accommodation.
No two days will look the same. You’ll carry out assessments, build trusting relationships, create and review support plans, manage risk, and help people navigate real barriers such as health needs, immigration, welfare benefits, substance use, mental health and access to housing. At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation, this role will help turn the practical side of housing into something young people can learn from, build confidence in and use as a stepping stone towards independence.

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was established in memory of Suzy Lamplugh, a young estate agent who tragically disappeared while at work in 1986 and was later declared deceased in 1993. Created to honour Suzy’s legacy, the Trust aims to empower individuals and organisations to take a stand against abuse, aggression, and violence in all forms, supporting safety in both personal and professional lives.
Role overview:
This is a new and developing service focused on increasing accessibility to stalking support for underrepresented and marginalised communities across London. The postholder will play a key role in designing, embedding, and delivering this community-based model, working closely with community groups, partners, and volunteers whilst holding a small caseload leading to building trusted pathways into service for communities that may face barriers to accessing traditional support.
The role will oversee two key initiatives:

Community First Responders: Trained volunteers with lived and/or professional experience (including LGBTQ+ communities, racially minoritised groups, victims with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and those with other accessibility needs) who provide face-to-face stalking support and awareness across London.

Community Champions: Staff/volunteers within third-party organisations within the London ecosystem of service providers who are trained to provide first-responder level support within their own communities.
The role builds and manages networks of community champions and first responders while holding a reduced advocacy caseload.
Initially office-based (London) for 3 months to support a meaningful induction, moving to a blended working model (40% office / 60% home).

About the Role

The Organisation
Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations. As we believe in the social model of disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working both internally and in all our activities, seek the participation and contribution of our members, and encourage and respect diversity.
The organisation is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees (at least 75% is disabled trustees), 20 staff and a strong ad hoc staff and volunteer base including many with direct experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers that disabled people face.
AoD provides five key services. These are: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, Independent Living and Our Place.
AoD’s Independent Living Service
The Independent Living Service (Direct Payments) is a new service that will provide support to Direct Payment users within the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The service will enable disabled people to have genuine choice and control over the way in which they lead their lives.The post-holder will be working alongside disabled people to enable them to have more choice and control over their care and support needs.
Purpose of Post
To work with individuals, their family and friends (where appropriate) to provide them with information, advice and assistance to enable them to access and manage a Direct Payment
(DP) and recruit and manage a Personal Assistant (PA).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support to individuals employing their own Personal (care) Assistant (PA) or engage an agency to deliver care and support.
1. Provide information and advice on becoming an employer and the role of the Personal Assistant.
2. Ensure that the client understands their legal obligations and responsibilities of being an employer.
3. Work with clients to: set up a profile on the Find-a-pa website, advertise and recruit a Personal Assistant, create a personalised job description and specification identify the level of experience and training requirements needed for the role.
4. Advise and help to calculate the PA’s salary and on costs (full training provided).
5. Support the client through the interview process and where necessary sit in during interviews.
6. Support individuals to reference, check legal status and where necessary DBS their support worker.
7. Support individuals to set up an induction plan for their PA and enable them to identify training needs.
8. Support the client to complete payroll and insurance documentation.
9. Work with the client to draw up a Statement of Particular (contract) for the employed PA (templates provided).
10. Encourage DP employers to take a lead in all employment issues. Information on where to seek advice e.g. ACAS, Fish and Premier Care helpline will be given and clients will be encouraged to use them.
11. Ensure that the individual has a back-up plan for emergencies.
12. Encourage DP employers to be assertive and proactive with their Personal Assistants.
13. Work with agencies to set up support for clients who may not wish to employ a PA directly.
Ongoing support to individuals in receipt of Direct Payments
1.Providing advice on employment issues.
2. Support individuals to solve practical problems e.g. lateness of staff, change of needs.
3. Support individuals to recruit again if necessary.
4. Assist individuals to re-look at budgets, training and job descriptions as they change over time.
5. Assist individuals to ensure that they continue to manage their Direct Payment or budget.
6. Support individuals to make informed choices.
7. Meet with the DP Support Group on a regular basis.
8. Assist in the development of training and other resources to support employers to manage their DP and their PA relationships.
9. Develop links and professional relationships with Social Work teams to support a healthy level of referrals.
For all work:
- Work in a person-centred way.
- Comply with AoD’s agreed policies and procedures.
- Participate in the wider development of the service and contribute to service improvement as required.
- Be computer literate and administratively self-supporting.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as identified by the Direct Payments Lead or line manager.

About the role
As a Coach Lead Worker in the Coaching team, you will play a key role in supporting individuals that are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will work with people who have varying levels of engagement with the service: some will work with you in a more planned and structured way, and some are in more complex situations and will require support from other agencies.
As a Lead Worker you will:
- Support members to develop and follow a personalised plan to end their homelessness sustainably.
- Empower and upskill members to be proactive in their accommodation search and access other relevant support services to meet their needs.
- Provide support with practical aspects of their route out of homeless, including access to housing, benefits, and other relevant needs.
- Lead Work a caseload and provide effective case management in line with the Crisis Case Management Framework.
The key to success will be your ability to make collaborative, consistent and psychologically informed relationships with members, services, colleagues, and partner organisations.
Skills, knowledge, and experience vital to succeeding in this role:
- Passionate about and dedicated to ending homelessness sustainably.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of accessing housing via private rented sector, local authorities, housing associations, supported providers and others.
- Good knowledge of issues affecting homeless people, including housing, welfare issues, trauma, substance use, involvement in criminal justice services, and social isolation
- Proven track record of successfully using coaching, IAG or psychologically informed approaches with people who have experienced homelessness.
- Ability to manage successful relationships with external agencies and relevant service providers and successfully advocate on members behalf.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to ensure accurate record keeping on a variety of Case Management Systems/Databases.

At Cranstoun, we are always in search of talented and experienced individuals to join our team.
The Birmingham Street Navigator Service works with Birmingham citizens (single adults and/or couples 25 years old or above) with accommodation that are outdoors engaging in ‘street activity’ e.g. rough sleeping, begging, street drinking/drug using and other ‘social activities.
Street Navigators will offer intensive, wraparound support to help citizens back into their accommodation, reducing their level of street-based activity and associated anti-social behaviour, with the overall aim of reintegrating citizens into their local communities and reducing their reliance on the streets.
Street Navigators will recognise that citizens may present with a range of complexities and could be living with traumas that make engagement with ‘traditional’ and ‘mainstream’ services difficult. This requires Street Navigators to provide a trauma-informed, person-centred and relational approach to engagement and the ongoing support offer to the citizen as a means of developing trust and confidence with the service, and to ensure short- and longer-term needs are met.
Street Navigators will work in a multi-agency network including alongside outreach services, Community Safety teams, local BID teams, commissioned/none-commissioned accommodation providers, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police. Street Navigators will also support citizens to access relevant support agencies when ready. This could include health care, substance misuse services, local community services and DWP.
It is important that the service is available to our citizens when it is needed. Therefore, work may be required outside of the conventional working week, and being included in a rota of duties, to ensure that service delivery is available when needed by citizens, including evenings, weekends and on bank holidays, may be expected.
