Trustees for dynamic social care charity required
SWAPS is a registerd charity offering Shared Lives services to people with learning disabilities, mental health problems, oder people and people with dementia. We operate across Devon, Torbay, Plymouth and Cornwall and support nearly 200 service users living with 165 providers. We were established in 2004.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and our service is rated as a 3 star excellent service.
We are seeking new trustees to help us take our work forward!
Our main objectives for 2010/2011 are to expand the services we offer across the region and to ensure we are as cost effective as possible. We are very keen to recruit trustees to strengthen the Board in the areas of finance, marketing/PR and social care.
Board meetings usually take place quarterly in our Devon office plus some sub committee work and occasional events with our providers and service users. All expenses are paid.
