Publicity Officer
To raise awareness about Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and the profile of the Association locally.
The Branch Management Committee (BMC)
? To publicise Branch activities and events
? To keep a list of and co-ordinate events organised by others on behalf of the Branch
? To develop contacts with the local media
? To write and issue press releases
? To ensure all publicity reflects the Association's corporate identity
? To contact local groups and arrange to speak to them about MND and the work of the Branch
? To keep up to date on current approaches to the management of the disease and research initiatives
? Good communication skills and ability to write press releases.
? Experience of public speaking would be useful, or a willingness to learn.
? Willingnes to keep up-to-date on latest developments within the Branch and Association.
? Ability to recognise and exploit opportunities for publicity.
You will be provided with a thorough induction as well as ongoing support from Regional and National Staff and Volunteer.
Approximately 1- 2 hours a week including willingness to attend regular Committee meetings.
