Dementia UK is looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to join our Marketing and Communications team on a 12-month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver high-performing digital campaigns that raise vital funds, grow our reach and engage supporters with Dementia UK’s work.

You will take ownership of paid digital campaigns, from development and launch through to optimisation and reporting. Alongside campaign delivery, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our evolving digital engagement strategy, helping shape processes, ways of working and how the digital team collaborates with fundraising and other teams across the charity.

You will develop and manage paid social campaigns, optimise audience targeting and use performance data to improve results. You’ll produce clear, insightful reporting and recommendations, translating campaign performance for stakeholders and helping teams understand what we can learn and apply to future activity.

You’ll have proven experience running paid digital campaigns on Meta, with a good understanding of campaign tracking, optimisation and reporting. You’ll be confident interpreting data and communicating results clearly to non-digital colleagues, with the ability to manage campaigns independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Experience of working within charity fundraising or knowledge of, would be an advantage.

Finance Director, Ark UK Programmes

About The Role

• We are looking for a strategic finance professional to join the senior leadership team of Ark UK Programmes and support the sustainable growth and development of our traded programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong commercial experience who is passionate about our mission and motivated by how different funding models and blended finance can enable us to create social impact at scale.

  Within this role you will work closely with the Group Finance team, which is responsible for all the group financial processing and reporting, and supported by a group financial controller. We are looking for someone who will bring a firm understanding of the drivers of income and expenditure to support effective decision making across our programmes, ensuring that financial sustainability and mission impact are considered together and influence every part of the organisational strategy. The Finance Director will own all the financial modelling underpinning this, managing forecasting and budgeting, and providing rapid and reliable assessments of the financial impact of business decisions.

  This role requires a curious and commercially minded approach, using a strong grasp of the economics of our ventures to identify risks and opportunities and deepen organisational understanding of key metrics such as subscription renewals. Working closely with the Group Finance team, the Finance Director will ensure management reports provide an accurate view of performance and will oversee spend and income risks, ensuring corrective action is taken where needed. The role will also work closely with the Managing Director to develop new ventures, ensuring their underlying economics are sound.

  Reporting directly into the Managing Director of Ark UK Programmes, this role will also have dotted line reporting into the Group CFO who oversees all Ark’s financial activity, to ensure consistency and management of risk throughout the Ark Group.

  The Finance Director will report into Managing Director, Ark UK Programmes. This role is currently operating hybrid working in our West London Office on a permanent basis working full time.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • The financial performance of Ark UK Programmes, highlighting risks and issues to the Managing Director to ensure effective commercial decisions are promptly made

About the opportunity

As a cross-team housing caseworker, you will work alongside individuals who are at risk of homelessness, often during times of heightened stress and uncertainty. Rather than focusing solely on immediate needs, your approach will centre around building trust, listening to each person’s story, and helping them take informed, practical steps toward safe and sustainable housing.

Alongside housing support, you will help people address wider support needs, including finances, health, wellbeing and life skills.

You’ll work across our network of charity partners, bringing vital capacity and support to local teams during times of increased demand or staff shortages. About the Role

This Youth Development Mentor for young men is part of Bright Futures, our mentoring and employability support programme for young Gypsy and Traveller people aged 15-25. You will build trusted, consistent 1-1 mentoring relationships with young men, supporting them to grow in confidence, work out what they want, and build the skills to get there.

You will deliver the programme's set mentoring offer, adapting your approach to individuals as needed, alongside group sessions on skills and personal development. Many of the young men we work with have had negative experiences of school or other services and are often not in education, employment or training (NEET). The role is about helping the young men move forward at a pace that works for them, towards something they've chosen and can stick with, rather than pushing them down a set route. You will keep detailed records of progress and milestones reached.

You will also play a role in outreach and community engagement – building relationships with families and community members. This includes keeping up good working relationships with colleges, training providers and employers, and making sure young people's voices are heard, both within Bright Futures and externally.

This role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

This role is for someone who wants to make a real difference in young people's lives – someone committed to supporting young men from marginalised and underserved communities to get equitable access to opportunities, and to helping bring about wider change for those communities.

About the Role

This Project Officer role is part of Bright Futures, our mentoring and employability support programme for young Gypsy and Traveller people aged 15-25. You will keep the programme organised, connected and running smoothly - managing records and systems, building partnerships, and coordinating workshops and activities so that young people can find their way in and get the most out of the support on offer.

Many of the young people we work with have faced exclusion or discrimination within mainstream education, employment and other services, and are often not in education, employment or training (NEET). The processes, systems and communications you manage all need to be accessible and responsive to young people who may be wary of formal support.

You will coordinate outreach and community engagement to bring young people into the programme, build and maintain relationships with colleges, training providers, employers and community organisations, and manage day-to-day communications with young people, families and partners. You will set up and coordinate a Youth Advisory Group, giving young people a structured way to help shape the programme. You may also be asked to cover for mentee support when a mentor is unavailable or at capacity.

This role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Battle Cancer Program is a charity that brings people together through fitness and community to raise money and awareness for people affected by cancer.

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Service Administrator to provide the systems, administration and data support that underpin the successful delivery of our programmes.

The Role

The Service Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that the administration behind our program is accurate, organised and effective.

THE CHARITY
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 6,000 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a new role designed to raise and facilitate fundraising for James’ Place Liverpool and to grow community relationships across the region to raise vital funds for James’ Place.

As part of the Fundraising team, you will take a leading role in building strong networks across Liverpool and the North West, helping to establish our centre as a sustainable source of life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis.

Your work will position dementia as a major health and social issue, mobilising the public to pressure the system for better diagnosis, treatment, care and support. You will help us to move dementia from overlooked to unavoidable, whilst also contributing to increasing awareness and engagement with Alzheimer’s Society’s vital and life changing support services and health information.

You will also be leading the charge in driving the public to Demand a Better Future for people affected by dementia through targeted influencing marketing campaigns. You will build our influencing and campaigning marketing programme with key internal senior stakeholders to drive the public to pressure the government and the system to drive positive change around dementia diagnosis, treatment, care and support.

THE CHARITY
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 6,000 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a new role designed to raise and facilitate fundraising for James’ Place Birmingham and to grow community relationships across the region to raise vital funds for James’ Place.

As part of the Fundraising team, you will take a leading role in building strong networks across Birmingham and the West Midlands, helping to establish our centre as a sustainable source of life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis.

The postholder will spend their time working collaboratively and taking responsibility for establishing fundraising activity across the West Midlands with appropriate support from centre staff and fundraising colleagues, the Head of Fundraising and Communications, Director of Fundraising and External Affairs and the Chief Executive and Trustees. The opportunity is ideal for an ambitious individual eager to grow their skills and career while helping to secure the funding and relationships needed to achieve the charity’s long-term goals.

Direct Fundraising Work

• Develop and grow a network of local donors including community supporters, challenge event fundraisers and corporate partners.
• Engage with volunteers and influencers across the West Midlands with a view to increasing the fundraising reach of the organisation.
• Steward existing donors, volunteers and prospects to secure long-term multi-year support.
• Support community engagement and attend fundraising events to help achieve the organisation’s fundraising ambitions.
• Identify regional funding opportunities including from local Trusts and Foundations and HNWI and feedback to wider fundraising team.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across fundraising, communications, events and clinical teams to maximise opportunities.
• Identify and feedback opportunities for partnership working that could support fundraising, community engagement, and service awareness.
• Work collaboratively with both clinical and non-fundraising colleagues within the Birmingham centre and across the organisation, building their confidence and capability in fundraising activities.

Administration

• Ensure all fundraising activities are delivered to a high standard ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM database.

Working in the Wider Charity

• Help maintain positive relationships with local statutory, voluntary, and community sector organisations, acting as a professional and approachable representative of the charity.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Proven experience of fundraising in the charity sector, with a track record of achieving results in at least one of the following income streams: community, challenge events, corporate partnerships, in memory, or events.
• Strong understanding of donor motivations and what drives charitable giving across different audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messages and build rapport.
• Confidence and professionalism in engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Excellent time management skills
• Practical, resilient, and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Entering employment data into the company spreadsheet

2. Setting up new employees on our HR system.

3. Assisting the HR and Administration Manager with the hiring process. For example:

· Creating job adverts on the company website.

4. Amending policies and procedures as directed by the HR operations committee.

6. Chase any missing HR documents from management. For example: return to work forms, students staff hours approval and performance development reviews.
