Who we are

InterAct supports children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)aged 8–25,across Mid and North Essex. We provide safe, inclusive opportunities that build confidence, independence friendships, wellbeing and skills for fulfilling lives. Young people with SEND can face social isolation, inaccessible activities, transport difficulties and limited opportunities to develop practical skills, particularly during evenings, weekends, holidays and the transition to adulthood. Through clubs, activities, trips, volunteering, travel training, life skills and residentials, we help young people develop social, communication, life and employability skills. Our services are shaped through co-production, ensuring young people's voices and aspirations are heard, while providing trusted support and respite for families and carers. After 30 years, InterAct is committed to an inclusive society where young people with SEND can build relationships, gain independence and achieve their potential.

We place our clients at the centre of all we do. Our commitment to them is to continue to listen, work together and deliver high quality services and to continue to contribute to the building of stronger, accessible, safer and inclusive communities.
