About us
Who we are
MioCare Group - 'Supporting people to get the most out of life'
Providing care and support to people while promoting independence, choice and wellbeing.
Created by Oldham Council, MioCare is a not-for-profit provider and a proud member of the National Care Forum. As a local authority-owned Community Interest Company, we’re driven by a desire to deliver excellent, person-centred outcomes for people.
Being a CIC means that any value we create is reinvested to continuously improve services, develop our staff and enrich the lives of people we support.
Our culture and values
We work collaboratively with people we support, our workforce and partner organisations, to deliver the diverse range of services we provide.
Our values say everything about who we are and how we want to be...
Inclusive - Dedicated - Collaborative - Aspirational

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
MioCare Group Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy; Summary Statement
We are passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion here at the MioCare Group. We want to do more and have a deep sense of pride in challenging inequality in all its forms.
We do not accept nor tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind and where we see it, we work to challenge and prevent it. We will not shirk our responsibilities in creating an inclusive organisation that is right for every colleague and person we support. MioCare takes pride in its values and culture, with people being treated fairly and with dignity and respect.
Our full EDI policy sets out challenging targets that we are fully-focused on achieving, as we know we need to do more. The policy also outlines the steps we will take to make that happen.
We will take action to remove barriers faced by people from different groups providing:
--> fair access to our services
--> fair outcomes for the people using our services
--> fair opportunities to participate and be involved in shaping our services
We will work closely alongside the people we support, our colleagues and in our communities to make sure we deliver services in a way that meets their needs.
We will promote equality, value diversity and encourage inclusion in everything that we do and through everyone we work alongside.
We will call out bias, challenge our thinking and behaviours and share our experiences. And we will listen to, support and champion the needs of under-represented colleagues and people we support.
