About us
Who we are
Street Trees for Living is a community tree-planting charity with our roots in the London Borough of Lewisham. We work collaboratively with local residents, schools and community groups to plan, plant and care for trees in urban neighbourhoods. Through our work, we aim to increase climate resilience and improve health and wellbeing for all communities.
Our people-focused approach to street tree planting and care delivers one of the highest survival rates for street trees of over 95%.
Our culture and values
Our vision is for greener streets and empowered communities in every neighbourhood, so that people and trees can thrive together.
Our mission: We plan, plant and care for trees in partnership with local people. We want communities to understand and enjoy all the benefits that trees can bring for health, wellbeing and climate resilience.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
STfL is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and flexible work environment and welcome applications from individuals interested in part-time positions.
