Who we are

YUAF helps young people go places. That is our thing.

We are a small, creative and dynamic team, creating opportunities for young people to learn music performance and production skills while supporting their mental health and wellbeing. We create safe, engaging spaces, away from the streets, where young people can break free from the barriers they face and grow into the creatives of the future.

We bring creative workshops right to the doorstep of communities across London through our Studio Bus, a double-decker bus converted into a fully equipped multimedia studio, and through our work in schools, youth clubs and community centres.

Young people are the reason we are here, and every decision gets measured against whether it actually makes life better for them, right down to the decisions made in spreadsheets and board papers, far away from the Bus.

Young Urban Arts Foundation (YUAF) is committed to an environment where equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are embedded across all aspects of our work. We actively seek to create spaces where every individual, regardless of background, identity or circumstance, is treated with respect, dignity and fairness.

Our EDI policy applies to all aspects of our operations, from programme delivery and service access to employment and governance. It works alongside our Safeguarding Policy, Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policy, and Code of Conduct, to ensure a safe, inclusive and empowering culture for all.
