The Brompton Fountain

Who we are

The Brompton Fountain is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting children's heart and lung care at Royal Brompton Hospital and its network of partner hospitals throughout London and the South East.

We work closely with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist support and resources for seriously ill children and their families and collaborate with the NHS to plan and deliver research projects for children with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions.

Our team works directly with patients, carers and extended family from the point of diagnosis. This enables our services beyond childhood - working with specialists in adult heart and lung departments to support young people who have transitioned from paediatric care.

Alongside our wellbeing services we fund vital medical equipment for young patients, including 'life-saving' portable defibrillators for children with acute heart conditions who are at risk of sudden cardiac arrest.
