About us

Who we are

Beaconsfield United Reformed Church is guided by the mission statement “Knowing Jesus and making Jesus known.” We provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all ages through worship, family activities, and community engagement. Regular initiatives include Baby & Toddler groups, Messy Church, community lunches, breakfasts, and lunchtime concerts, all designed to build relationships, meet local needs, and share the Christian faith.

The church operates from two sites: the main Beaconsfield building and a second property in Holtspur. We seek to expand and deepen our mission in Holtspur through a coordinated project that includes the recruitment of a Community Development Worker, the refurbishment of our Holtspur building and the introduction of a completely new website.

By enhancing facilities and deepening community engagement, we aim to address isolation, respond to local needs, and create accessible opportunities for people to encounter faith in everyday life.

Our culture and values

We aim to foster belonging, openness, and faith by creating relational spaces where people can explore meaning and encounter Jesus in everyday life.

Through hospitality and consistent presence, we expect to see deeper relationships, growing confidence in faith, and increased participation in church life.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

The Church is committed to:

·       Providing equality of opportunity in recruitment, employment and development.

·       Creating an environment in which everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

·       Not unlawfully discriminating against any person.

·       Valuing the different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives people bring.

·       Taking reasonable steps to prevent discrimination, harassment and victimisation.

Recruitment decisions will be based on the skills, experience, qualifications and personal qualities required for the role.

Selection will be undertaken fairly using objective criteria.

Reasonable adjustments will be made during recruitment where required for applicants with disabilities.
