Who we are

Bede House is a local Southwark charity. We are local people, working with our neighbours to make Southwark a better place to live.

We’re inspired by the strength and resilience of our community. For over 80 years, we have supported the Southwark residents who need us most.

Our programmes serve more than 2,000 people every year. We’re proud to run different programmes that reflect our community’s needs. Right now, we’re providing support to adults with learning disabilities and victims of domestic violence (our Starfish Project). We are also helping local self-help groups organise activities to make their communities better.

Bede House relies on the generosity of individuals, corporate donors and grants: people and organisations who believe in the potential of Southwark.

We welcome anyone who wants to contribute to our community.
