About us
Who we are
BOWRA Foundation is a charity that supports the physical and psychological wellbeing, rehabilitation and recovery of people living with brain injury or the effects of a stroke.
We provide practical help through the BOWRA Bag and deliver meaningful activities that rebuild confidence, connection and quality of life for beneficiaries, families and carers. From surfing and cycling to golf or a simple coffee and chat, everything is designed to be welcoming, flexible and supportive, with many sessions led by members of the Armed Forces community.
Our culture and values
Our VISION is a world where all those living with brain injury have their best chance of a full and rewarding life.
Our PURPOSE is to promote and pursue the physical and psychological wellbeing, rehabilitation and recovery of those living with the effects of brain injury by leveraging the skills and experience of members of the armed forces community alongside other volunteers.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At BOWRA Foundation, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and fairness. We actively promote equality, equity, diversity and inclusion across our workforce by ensuring equal opportunities in recruitment, development and progression, while taking positive steps to remove barriers and address disadvantage where they exist. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or bullying in any form and strive to create an inclusive culture where people from all backgrounds feel valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential. Our policies, training, recruitment practices and ongoing monitoring help us continually strengthen our commitment to fairness and inclusion throughout the organisation.
