Friends of Amasango

Who we are

AMASANGO is a special needs school in Grahamstown / Makhanda, South Africa that enables marginalised young people and Street Children to thrive by gaining an education and vocational skills.

The Friends of AMASANGO is a UK based Christian registered charity (No 1116268), that was founded in 2005 and provides:

-        two meals a day and food parcels for the weekend

-        school uniforms, shoes, coats

-        support for ex-pupils who go on to high school

-        stipends for a number of extra staff at the school over and above that funded by the local Government

-        teaching equipment and tools

Our culture and values

We are a Christian based Organisation and The Charity has no paid employees but provides the financial support and guidance needed to facilitate the extra provisions needed at the school and that have resulted in continuous success of past pupils excelling in their future lives.
