About us
Who we are
Gazebo is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and has been delivering creative programmes, activities, and live performances for over 45 years. Our work promotes social, educational, and artistic development through the creative arts. We work with children, young people, schools, and communities, creating opportunities to build skills, confidence, and creativity. Our programme includes professional touring theatre, Theatre in Education, out-of-school provision, creative industries training, media production, and community engagement.
Our work supports people of all ages to engage with creativity, build confidence, and develop skills through high-quality arts programmes.
We deliver a wide ranging programme of Theatre in Education, community arts, out-of-school activities, professional touring theatre, mentoring, media production, and training. We also receive commissions for bespoke work, alongside our core programmes.
Theatre in Education
We deliver 6–8 programmes each year for schools and educational settings, covering a wide range of themes including history, storytelling, early years learning, climate change, hate crime, gangs and knife crime, racism and misogyny.
Schools can book individual shows and workshops or take part in our Friends of Gazebo programme.
Creative Community Hub
Our Creative Community Hub offers a range of creative and social activities for adults, including visual arts, music, drama, and wellbeing activities.
We work with a diverse group of participants, including people who are neurodiverse and those with learning disabilities.
Out-of-School Activities
We deliver holiday programmes for children and young people aged 7–16, providing creative and engaging activities throughout school breaks.
Youth Theatre
We run two weekly youth theatre groups for young people aged 7–16 and regularly work towards productions. Our current project is Seussical for Kids.
Professional Touring Theatre
We create original, high-quality productions for local and national touring.
Venue
Following our recent refurbishment, we now have an enhanced venue with an increased focus on:
- Venue hire

- Future development opportunities
Power 2 – Mentoring
We provide a Creative Key Worker as part of the Power 2 programme, working in partnership with City of Wolverhampton Council and other organisations to support children, young people, young adults, and families at risk.
Community Arts – Christmas Production
Each year, we produce a community Christmas show, offering local participants
the opportunity to work alongside professional creatives to create a production
for local audiences.
Gazebo Studios
Our studios support film and music production, alongside training
opportunities in the creative industries.

Our Values
Creativity
This sits at the heart of everything we do. Creativity is the tool we use to educate, support and bring about change.
Inclusion
We believe that everybody should have equal and equitable access to culture and creativity and the right to lead happy and fulfilling lives. We understand that in order to be relevant we need to have a diverse and representative team.
Innovation
We enjoy finding new and exciting ways to share stories, support well-being, aid learning and development and enable young people to explore the world around them and grow as individuals
Collaboration
We work and create WITH people - always placing young people and the communities we serve at the forefront.
Integrity
We take our duty of care to the people we are entrusted to serve, the people we employ and the environment around us seriously, operating with honesty and care for the future, and with a commitment to high quality delivery.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Gazebo is committed to ensuring equal opportunities, aiming to attract and work with staff from a wide diverse pool. We particularly welcome applications from people of the Global Majority, and people who are currently under-represented in our industry.
