About us
Who we are
From the outset, WSUP was conceived as a practical response to systemic failures — where utilities, governments, and markets were not adequately serving the urban poor. Its founders united public, private and NGO expertise to create sustainable solutions that go beyond infrastructure to strengthen entire systems.
To create a world in which all urban residents — including the poorest, informal settlement dwellers, and women and girls — enjoy affordable, safe water and sanitation services of a high standard.
This vision anchors every programme and partnership, pushing beyond short-term fixes to focus on lasting systemic change that supports health, dignity, resilience and opportunity for all.
Our culture and values
Working at WSUP means being part of a mission-driven organisation tackling some of the most urgent challenges facing rapidly growing cities. Our people are united by a shared purpose: to create lasting change and improve the lives of millions of urban residents around the world.
We are proud to be a welcoming, inclusive and supportive place to work, where people are encouraged to grow, contribute and build meaningful careers.
Our values guide how we work, how we partner and how we treat one another. All staff are expected to live these values in their day-to-day work and interactions.
