What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Time commitment

Cancer support charity The Mulberry Centre, is looking for new volunteers with flexible availability to help us set up and run out stall at a variety of fun community fundraising & enagement events, mainly in West London - Hounslow, Richmond & Ealing area. Come and sell rafle tickets, inspire donations, hold a collection bucket, give out leaflets and engage with the public at our own events and at fetes, fairs and stadium days.

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Strategist to lead the development and execution of Wekume’s marketing initiatives. This role will play a key part in increasing brand awareness, driving user engagement, and supporting fundraising and growth efforts.
You will work closely with the communications and operations teams to design campaigns that resonate with our audience and amplify our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

• Lead the development and implementation of Wekume’s marketing strategy aligned with organisational goals
• Identify target audiences and define clear positioning and messaging
• Develop campaign plans to drive awareness, engagement, and user acquisition

Campaign Management

• Plan, execute, and optimise marketing campaigns across digital channels
• Collaborate with the communications team to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns
• Support fundraising and awareness initiatives through targeted marketing efforts

Brand & Growth

• Strengthen Wekume’s brand identity and ensure consistency across all channels
• Identify opportunities to expand reach and grow Wekume’s user base

Performance & Insights

• Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance and key marketing metrics
• Use insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience in marketing, digital marketing, or brand strategy (non-profit or social impact experience is a plus)

OVERALL PURPOSE

This role requires a hands-on communicator who is passionate about profiling service user’s voices and creating opportunities for collaboration. Digital and Media Engagement:

® Profile local activities and partnerships, creating content and stories for social media and other digital platforms.

 Engagement Partner Collaboration:

® Work with the project managers and our local stakeholders to identify opportunities to increase the charity’s profile.

Are you passionate about supporting people impacted by substance misuse and involved in the criminal justice system? Join our specialist service dedicated to helping individuals on probation make positive changes in their lives.

As a Dependency & Recovery Support Volunteer, you’ll work closely with our Dependency and Recovery Coordinators and partner agencies based at Kitts Green probation office to deliver tailored support to adult males on probation. Your role will include:

• Assisting with drug and alcohol interventions
• Encouraging motivation and goal-setting
• Supporting individuals to reduce substance misuse and offending behaviour
