Could you give one hour a month to hold a safe, reflective space for a team of bereavement support volunteers? We are looking for a qualified therapist to facilitate a monthly online group; a place for our volunteers to process, decompress and feel supported.
The New Normal is a charity that runs free peer support groups for people navigating bereavement, facilitated by a dedicated team of volunteers across the UK.
Our volunteers dedicate their time and energy to supporting others through emotionally challenging times, and we want to make sure they feel equally held and supported in that work. We are looking for a qualified therapist to facilitate a monthly online group session for our volunteers: a safe, reflective space where they can process what comes up, let off steam, and when required be offered reflective feedback.
This is a facilitation role rather than a clinical one. You would be holding the space, normalising emotions, and offering a warm, containing presence, not providing individual therapy or carrying clinical responsibility for group members.
What we are looking for:

Role: Unpaid volunteer position
Purpose: To safeguard vulnerable adults accessing our services and address any potential safeguarding referrals that we receive within and outside of the organisation. The Safeguarding Team Volunteer will contribute to the completion of risk assessments for beneficiaries wishing to access our services, and complete incident logs for escalation to DSL/Deputy DSL where required.

Age UK Bucks ‘Age Better Bucks’ volunteers will support local older people to achieve personal goals – by helping them navigate and take advantage of a Support Plan devised by as community worker, that is designed to help them meet the challenges of older age.
This could be by phoning them to provide encouragement, explanation and support, and to check on progress, and also to help them with attendance at appointments and going to new groups or activities.
What do Age Better Bucks Volunteers do?
The role is to support and help the client to access the referrals and support put in place for them – and not to support them with care or specific needs yourself. Referrals might be to local care services, to local groups or clubs, or to an occupational therapist for home adaptations, other voluntary organisations and support groups etc.
Our Age Better Bucks Service
Age Better Bucks supports over 65s who could benefit from extra support to manage their well being and remain independent. It is for older people experiencing challenges or need extra support to stay independent and well – for example increasing loneliness/isolation; bereavement; health/mobility decline; mood change.
Our team of support workers will assess their needs and circumstances specific to them, and develop an action plan with them to ensure more support and help can be arranged. We check in with the client after 6 weeks to see how they are getting on, and after 6 months to see how they are and check if anything has changed, got worse or improved.
The service is designed to give people the tools, contacts and support to make positive changes and especially to tackle the impact of loneliness and isolation.
An action plan, or support plan, will be devised with all clients, identifying their main goals based on their individual needs and challenges, and referring them, with their consent only, to other services and support we agree can help. At this stage we’ll assess if a volunteer like you can help then take full advantage of this support.
What you will get out of it
What is expected of me?
We tell you about each client and ask if you’d like to take it up. You would then arrange and complete the call or visit when convenient. The work you do is conducted in line with guidance we provide and you must comply with necessary procedures including Data Protection/Confidentiality and Personal Safety.
After the visit/contact you will complete and submit a contact form. Volunteers complete relevant training, provide references and complete a DBS check.

The Mindful Foundation is a growing UK charity working across abuse prevention, emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, and victim support. We’re looking for a Volunteer Fundraiser to help us find and apply for grants to support our work.
You would mainly support funding applications and grant research for our three core projects:
• Think Different: Prevent Harm Through Education
A trauma-informed early intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–18 in schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care.
• True Power: Change Starts Inside
A behavioural change programme supporting offenders and helping reduce reoffending through emotional awareness and accountability.
• ListenApp
A discreet victim support app designed to help people experiencing abuse access support safely.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising, bid writing, grant research, or the charity sector, or someone wanting to build experience whilst contributing to meaningful work.
What you’ll do:
• Research grant and funding opportunities
• Help prepare and submit funding applications
• Identify trusts, foundations, and community funding streams
• Support the growth of an early-stage charity making real impact
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Organised and reliable
• A strong written communicator
• Passionate about social impact
• Able to work independently
This is a flexible remote volunteer role of around 3–6 hours per week. There is potential for the role to become paid in future as the charity grows and funding develops.

MINDSET is a brand‑new men’s wellbeing and personal growth charity — and we’re looking for a small group of creative, motivated volunteers to join our Marketing & Communications Committee.
Our mission is to help men build resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier coping skills through practical, reflective, skills‑based support. To launch successfully, we need to raise awareness, build excitement, and tell the stories that show why MINDSET matters.

What the Marketing & Communications Committee Will Do
We’re looking for volunteers who can help us:
Build interest and excitement around MINDSET
Develop clear, positive messaging that reflects our mission
Create social media content and help manage our channels
Support simple campaigns that raise awareness and engagement
Tell the stories of the men we aim to support (safely and ethically)
Help shape our brand personality and public presence
Identify opportunities to raise our profile locally and online
Bring creative ideas that help us stand out as a new charity
You don’t need to be a marketing expert — just enthusiastic, creative, and willing to get involved.
Who We’re Looking For
People who are:
Passionate about men’s wellbeing and community impact
Creative thinkers with an interest in storytelling or communications
Comfortable with social media, writing, or content creation
Organised and reliable
Happy to contribute ideas and take on small tasks
Excited to help build a charity’s voice from the ground up
Experience in marketing, PR, social media, branding, or communications is helpful but not essential.
Time Commitment
A few hours per month, flexible around your schedule
