The Role
We’re seeking a Volunteer Marketing Assistant to support our mission to boost visibility and engagement on social media. This is a fully remote, unpaid volunteer position. We ask that you are available to volunteer around 2 hours per week designing and drafting content for our non profit organisation to help build awareness and reach.
About TreeAction UK
Tree Action UK is a not for profit community initiative dedicated to restoring local green spaces through tree planting and environmental care.
We plant trees in schools, colleges and on public land in Sussex. Our projects help support environmental education for young people, improve our local environment and enhance community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Help boost TreeAction’s visibility by creating engaging marketing and social media content that reaches new supporters and volunteers.
- Support our online presence by designing eye-catching posts, improving engagement, and helping to grow our audience across social platforms.
- Work with our team to share our impact more effectively, helping to build TreeAction’s profile and promote our tree planting and conservation work.
- Help develop a consistent brand identity across our posts, ensuring our messaging and visuals feel cohesive and recognisable.
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for environmental causes.
- Comfortable with email outreach and admin tasks.
- Self-motivated, this is a remote role with flexible hours.
- Previous experience in marketing, social media, branding, design or copywriting is a plus

Position Overview
This is a dynamic and rewarding internship opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping the voice and visual identity of SEED Madagascar. As part of a passionate and collaborative communications team, you will contribute directly to how our work is shared with global audiences—helping to tell powerful stories of community-led development and conservation in southeast Madagascar.
This role offers a unique blend of creativity and purpose. You will support social media management, develop engaging visual content, and curate impactful imagery that brings our programmes to life. It is ideally suited to a proactive and imaginative individual who is eager to build practical skills in communications while contributing to meaningful, real-world impact. Throughout the internship, you will gain valuable experience in digital storytelling, branding, and content strategy within an international development context.
Location: Remote – based anywhere in the world
Time zone: East Africa Time
Timeframe: 6 months extendable – flexible, guideline 1-2 days a week

About Us
Adventures for Animals was established as a fundraising initiative of IAPWA to empower passionate individuals to explore the world whilst changing it for animals in need. Every trek, climb, and challenge helps fund IAPWA’s vital rescue, rehabilitation, vaccination and community outreach programmes. Volunteer Role Overview
We’re looking for a creative and reliable Volunteer Social Media Assistant to help grow and maintain our online presence. This is a flexible, fully remote volunteer role ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare, adventure, travel, and digital storytelling.
While the role does not involve travel itself, we’re looking for someone who enjoys the adventure and travel space and can help bring that energy into engaging social media content whilst integrating some of the animal welfare stories from IAPWA.
The position is designed to fit around your schedule, with an expectation of approximately 2 posts or reels per week.
Responsibilities
- Create and schedule engaging social media content for Instagram and Facebook
- Design simple graphics, reels, captions, and stories aligned with our brand and mission
- Help maintain a consistent social media presence
- Source and repurpose existing content where appropriate
- Write captions that encourage engagement and awareness around animal welfare and adventure-related topics
- Engage with and grow our online community and increase overall reach
- Stay aware of social media trends and suggest content ideas
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for animal welfare, adventure, and travel
- Interest in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
- Basic experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms
- Strong written English and a good eye for engaging content
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Reliable, organised, and creative
