We’re looking for admin volunteers to help with our daily operations.  We have a variety of ways you can get involved:

• Responding to client requests and enquiries
• Fundrasing and partnership management
• Managing and updating company databases
• Keeping track of partnership enquiries
• Maintaining internal, volunteer, and client records
• Drafting and mailing client correspondence and newsletters
• Organising events, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
• Providing administrative support to other departments or projects as needed
• Performing other duties as agreed in advance

We’ve designed our volunteering programme to be flexible and adaptive to you.  All volunteering is 100% remote and you’re supported fully by our team.  You control what you do and how many hours per week you want to volunteer.  Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check. If your application is successful, we will ask for a donation towards the cost of your enhanced DBS check if it's required for your role. This cost is £22.60.

Do you have a laptop?

A laptop and a quiet space to volunteer is essential.

How much time can you give?

A minimum of 2 hours per week is required. We are flexible and like to work around you.

Training

We provide accredited training with 3 short courses needing to be completed prior starting your volunteer role.  After, you’ll have access to over 90 accredited courses should you want to study further.

 The Role 

 We are seeking a proactive, confident and relationship-driven Volunteer Partnerships & Growth Manager to identify, approach and onboard potential affiliate partners, collaborators, businesses, agents, talent managers and professional networks that can help expand the reach of Influential Stars. 

 This is a telephone-led outreach and appointment-setting role, supported by email and online communication. You will make initial contact, explain how organisations can get involved, establish whether there is genuine interest and arrange introductory appointments with the appropriate Influential Stars team member. This is a relationship-led role rather than hard selling.

 Key Responsibilities 

 ⭑ Research and identify suitable affiliate partners, businesses, collaborators, agents, talent managers and professional networks ⭑ Make introductory outbound calls to potential partners ⭑ Explain the Influential Stars opportunity clearly and confidently ⭑ Establish interest and whether the opportunity is a suitable fit ⭑ Arrange qualified introductory appointments with the appropriate Influential Stars team member ⭑ Support onboarding of new collaborators and affiliates ⭑ Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and introducers ⭑ Encourage ongoing engagement and participation ⭑ Maintain regular communication to nurture long term partnerships ⭑ Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding ⭑ Provide clear information about roles, expectations, and opportunities ⭑ Maintain accurate records of outreach and partnerships using our CRM management system ⭑ Follow approved contact, data-protection and direct-marketing procedures ⭑ Represent the organisation professionally in all communications 

 Skills and Experience Required Essential: 

 ⭑ Experience in outreach, partnerships, business development, or relationship building ⭑ Excellent customer service skills ⭑ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills ⭑ Confidence making outbound calls, speaking with new contacts and building rapport quickly ⭑ Strong networking ability and proactive approach ⭑ Strong IT skills, including confident use of computer databases and standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel) ⭑ Experience using a CRM or similar database system ⭑ Highly organised with strong attention to detail ⭑ Ability to work independently and manage multiple contacts ⭑ Professional, reliable, and personable manner Desirable: ⭑ Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided) ⭑ Experience in affiliate programmes, partnerships, or community building ⭑ Experience in outbound calling, lead qualification or appointment-setting ⭑ Experience working remotely within a team ⭑ Interest in charitable or social impact work ⭑

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and highly professional Volunteer Charities and Crowdfunder Support Manager to build and maintain relationships with charitable organisations, community groups, and individuals using crowdfunding pages.

This role involves guiding partners from initial contact through onboarding and maintaining ongoing rapport, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and valued throughout their involvement with the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and invite suitable charities, community groups, and crowdfunding campaigns to join the platform

• Guide partners through the onboarding process from first contact to launch

• Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with both organisations and individuals

• Act as a key point of contact for enquiries, support, and reassurance

• Maintain regular communication to sustain engagement and rapport

• Support individuals who may be experiencing difficult or traumatic circumstances with sensitivity and professionalism

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure partners receive timely assistance

• Provide clear information about how the platform works and what to expect

• Maintain accurate records of communications and partnership activity using our CRM management system

• Ensure all interactions reflect empathy, professionalism, and respect

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Strong relationship management or engagement experience

• Excellent customer service skills

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. While we are unable to provide a timeframe and future opportunities will depend on the organisation’s growth and incoming work, this role offers the chance to be part of that journey from an early stage.

Trust House Reading provides a confidential helpline service to victims/survivors of rape and sexual abuse aged 18 or above.

Helpline volunteers are a key part of this service, and we value their contribution. Helpline volunteers aim to support victims/survivors of rape and sexual abuse by providing a safe space to talk and share their feelings and needs; by providing information and signposting to other relevant organisations/services; and by referring the clients to Trust House Reading’s different services.

Hours of work: This role requires one 2-3-hour session per week. This role can be office based at our offices in Reading or home based.

Helpline volunteers must complete Trust House Reading’s specialist training and induction programme and must attend monthly supervision.

No previous helpline experience is necessary as training and on-going support will be provided.

Please note that you must be over the age of 18 and eligible to volunteer in the UK. Unfortunately, we are currently only able to offer this role to people living in the UK.

Key Tasks:

• Ensure that calls are answered promptly and efficiently during your shift.
• Provide callers with emotional support, relevant information and signposting as relevant to the call.
• Listen to helpline telephone messages and make call-backs as necessary.
• Update our database for every telephone call.
• Keep accurate records, follow up and pass on accurate messages and complete records.
• To participate in on-going training and monthly supervision.

We will reimburse reasonable travel costs for those that volunteer at our office in Reading. Our Volunteer Policy provides further information.
Please note that for this role, a DBS check must be completed and you must provide two references.

The Conversation Class Teacher volunteer will deliver IRMO Conversation Class lessons as suitable, required and in support of our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provision for adults. 

You will work closely with the ETE Education Assistant to support language development among IRMO ESOL Courses learners, following a scheme of work and basic course outline and planning the lessons at beginner and advanced levels (as allocated) according to your teaching approach, methods and techniques. 

Main tasks and responsibilities of the role: 

● Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons to a range of classes and levels in a community setting. 

● Providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for learners, reinforcing and practising English focusing on particular areas of the learner's language. 

● Ensuring learners’ participation during classes and monitoring attendance. 

● Providing opportunities for social engagement to support learners to become more independent (eg. explaining necessary processes about daily life). 

● Promoting and encouraging language improvement (eg. motivating learners to participate in language learning activities such as conversation classes). 

● Keeping classes on track according to the syllabus and learning outcomes instructed. 

● Undertaking any other administrative tasks, consistent with the purpose of the role as required.
