Job description

Take the next step in your career with our Clinical Psychology Internship designed to prepare aspiring professionals for application to Professional Doctorates in Clinical Psychology or a career in psychotherapy and counselling.

We are a registered charity (Charity Number: 1191308) working alongside WHO and several leading global mental health charities. Our work is primarily aimed at helping individuals in the developing world, while our services in high income countries help fund our philanthropic endeavours.

Join a team that boasts of previous interns from world-renowned institutions such as Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, ICL, LSE.

Programme Features

  • Gain experience similar to working as an Assistant Psychologist, Support Worker, or Psychological Well-Being Practitioner.
  • Collect a diverse portfolio of up to 100 clients, each contributing to your accumulation of clinically supervised hours.
  • Receive tailored one-to-one and group training in a plethora of psychotherapeutic approaches including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and systematic desensitisation.
  • Contribute to primary research and get the opportunity to be a named author on published research papers.
  • Work with top graduates and future leaders in the field of psychology within a professional environment prioritising wellbeing and community.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Aspiring individuals with a strong interest in psychotherapy, counselling, and/or clinical psychology.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to commit full-time for the full 3-months duration of the internship.
  • Financial independence during the duration of the internship.

Desirable:

  • 2:1 Psychology degree or an MSc conversion degree, or status as a qualified mental health professional.
  • Level 3 certificate or higher in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
  • Additional mental health-related certifications/diplomas.
  • Psychological research experience.

*We take applications on a rolling basis, next cohort start is mid-February.
