Event first aider volunteer volunteer roles

As a Community First Aider, you’ll deliver first aid to those in need through local events, as well as provide education to the public so that the ripple effect of First Aid grows.

We are recruiting for Guildford, Woking and Cranleigh

Through supporting the growth of community partnerships, you will bring people along to our cause, growing our membership and fundraising base and spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives. 

Through volunteering as a Community First Aider, you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time. 

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. Successful candidates would be expected to attend at least one training night per month at Guildford from 20:00 for 2 hours 

There is a commitment of 80 hours per year for this role All training for this role is provided with different course dates on offer

Interviews are conducted in person at St John Ambulance Guildford on Thursday evenings. Details for this will be sent out after successful selection for interview

Prospective volunteers will be expected to undertake the full training package for Community First Aider, enabling them to support event healthcare delivery in our Community. This role carries a minimum commitment of 80 hours per year. Volunteers are encouraged to keep their skills current by attending regular network training sessions, which take place weekly on Wednesday evenings.

No previous experience is needed! We will provide you with all the training for the role and other courses are available for your wn personal growth! We have weekly meetings in Rugby, Nuneaton and Bedworth - whichever is more convenient for you!
