Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C is a pioneering podcast, YouTube channel, and healing membership organisation dedicated to creating a safe platform for survivors and whistleblowers to share lived experiences, expose systemic failures, and promote healing through culturally trauma-informed care.
Our organisation combines healing, education, advocacy, and empowerment through honest storytelling and community transformation. We provide opportunities for young people and survivors to develop digital skills, participate in our interactive Alchemic 369 Book Club, and engage in transformative discussions around African, Caribbean, and world history, political thought, classics, and Ifa studies.

Job Purpose
The Volunteer Whistleblower Relations & Booking Officer will play a vital role in identifying, connecting with, and booking whistleblowers, former insiders, survivors, and experts linked to child abuse and institutional failures for podcast interviews and discussions.
The successful candidate will conduct research, outreach, relationship building, and guest coordination while professionally representing the organisation’s mission and values.
This role requires persistence, emotional intelligence, professionalism, confidence, resilience, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Outreach
- Research and identify potential guests including:
- Whistleblowers
- Former insiders

- Track conversations, outreach progress, and booking schedules

What Will You Do?
As Lead Grants and Foundations, you will:

Fundraising strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive strategy for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding foundation, corporate, and government grant prospects.

Grant writing and management: Oversee the entire grants lifecycle, from researching funding opportunities and writing compelling proposals to managing awards, ensuring compliance, and submitting reports.

Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of grants professionals, such as grants managers and coordinators, to meet or exceed annual funding goals.

Relationship management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foundation program officers and other institutional funders. Serve as the primary point of contact for major funders.

Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with finance, programs, and leadership to develop grant budgets, gather data for proposals, and ensure funded projects are implemented successfully.

Compliance and reporting: Ensure the organization adheres to all grant requirements, including financial and programmatic reporting, and prepares for audits.

Financial oversight: Manage the grant budget and expenditure tracking, and provide financial reports to both funders and internal leadership

We are looking for our next Chair of Trustees – someone who will work closely with our Executive Team and Board to guide the organisation through what is both a challenging and genuinely exciting time. The funding environment is tough. The political context is difficult. And yet the need for what we do has never been greater.
This is an unpaid voluntary role. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with our Volunteer Expenses Policy.
The successful candidate will lead a vibrant, well-established, national charity as it navigates the next chapter of its story.
Main tasks
- Developing and setting our future strategy, alongside the Executive Team and other Trustees
- Helping shape and deliver our future, identifying opportunities in an evolving landscape
- Leading the Board of Trustees, including regular 1:1s and providing space for reflection
- Acting as a 'critical friend' to our Executive Team, as well as formal line management to the CEO (and COO in their absence)
- Acting as an ambassador for the charity – raising awareness of what we do and engaging potential supporters and other key stakeholders
- Responsibility, along with the other trustees, for the governance of the charity
- Contributing to the ongoing strategy of the charity, in line with our charitable objectives
- Participating in board meetings and sub-committees in an inclusive and thoughtful way
