This position is open to anyone with a keen interest in Friends of the Earth and our local campaigns in the borough of Camden. We are looking for people interested in environmental and sustainability issues and environmental justice in the Camden community who enjoy assisting in the organisation of events.

Duties:

The events assistants will provide support in our events as part of a team, including tasks like:

• Assisting with the execution of various charity events and campaigns

• Helping with the preparation of events and campaigns

• Attending meetings with the group and events such as FoE marches 

• Setting up event spaces, including decorations and signage

• Addressing any issues that arise during the event and providing immediate solutions

• Collecting event data and feedback from attendees

• Assisting with post-event reporting

Use your interest in tech to support independence. Sight Support Worthing (SSW) is looking for Tech Support Volunteers to help blind and partially sighted people get the most from their devices. Whether it’s setting up accessibility features, troubleshooting an app, or installing a smart speaker, your support can make everyday tasks easier and more empowering.

Role: Tech Support Volunteer

Location: Sight Support Worthing, Rowlands Road, and home visits (company vehicle available if required).

Role Description

Tech Support Volunteers provide one-to-one support to clients with their phones, tablets, computers, and other devices. Support may take place during tech drop-in sessions at our centre or via pre-arranged home visits for those unable to travel or using non-portable devices. The hours and time commitments are flexible depending on your availability, but we require volunteers to commit to a minimum of 3 sessions of 1 hour per month.

Full training and equipment are provided, and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Giving basic advice and support at tech support drop-in sessions
• Visiting clients at their homes
• Advising on assistive devices, apps, and accessibility features
• Troubleshooting basic issues with devices or connectivity
• Setting up smart speakers and other simple devices

Skills & Qualities

Technical Skills

• Good general knowledge of phones, tablets, or computers

We are looking for an Arabic speaker to support with our planned group activities. As an interpreter volunteer, you will support members who attend our tenancy awareness workshops, member forums, health & wellbeing days, Skylight events and other social activities.

You will have the required language as your first or second language OR are working towards a level 2 interpreting qualification.

As an interpreter volunteer you will be enabling those experiencing homelessness who don’t have English as their first language to engage in activities in their spoken language. You will be helping us to communicate with them in a way that values and enables the individual to express themselves and understand.

Victory Afghanistan invites applications for the position of Volunteer Mentorship Programme Coordinator at a critical stage in the programme’s development.

This is a structured, execution-focused coordination role within a growing educational initiative serving Afghan students pursuing higher education and professional advancement pathways.

About the Programme

The Mentorship Programme currently supports:

• 117 students
• 30 active mentors

This is a structured, outcome-driven pathway designed to secure higher education placements, professional certifications, and measurable career progression. It is not a casual networking initiative, it is a coordinated system with defined objectives and active deliverables.

The Role

You will provide operational coordination during a pivotal period in which we are actively:

• Placing students into accredited online degree programmes
• Delivering structured workshops
• Coordinating high-level guest speakers
• Supporting mentors and mentees across multiple academic and professional tracks
• Tracking progress and maintaining programme integrity

There are no fixed weekly meetings. The role is fully remote and flexible. You will report directly to Maria (based in Colombia), requiring comfort with cross–time zone coordination.

What We Are Looking For

• Building relationships with people or local businesses you know.
• Taking part in and sharing information about specific campaigns and initiatives to help remove barriers to blind and partially sighted people.
• Delivering talks on behalf of RNIB’s Social Action Team.

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is seeking a Volunteer African & Diaspora Book Club Coordinator to join our founding volunteer team. This role focuses on creating a welcoming learning space where community members can explore African and Diaspora history, literature and ideas together.

As Book Club Coordinator, you will organise and facilitate a book club programme that encourages reflection, discussion and shared learning. Working with the Membership Director and Community Engagement team, you will help create meaningful conversations that build knowledge, cultural pride and collective understanding.

This role blends facilitation, coordination and community engagement to support a learning space rooted in respect, curiosity and cultural awareness.

A bit about this role

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

You will share your personal experiences of using a screen reader to access Welsh digital information and services, show how accessibility features work in real life and what changes make a real difference.

You will share your experiences and talk openly in group discussions and have the confidence to raise issues and a willingness to speak up about concerns or gaps in services. You will also contribute and collaborate with project staff and external stakeholders (researchers and decision makers) to shape future Welsh language technology developments helping to create more accessible Welsh language digital services.
