TVS is a small, volunteer-led charity dedicated to working with rural schools in South Africa, aiming to empower vulnerable children through education.  We are recruiting a team of volunteers to work with our trustees to help us to continue our work to transform lives. If you are passionate about building relationships and driving positive change, you could make a significant impact as a volunteer Corporate Partnerships Officer, helping our charity connect with businesses, develop collaborative projects, and secure crucial support for our cause.

In this role you would advise our board on developing strategies and take on a variety of responsibilities such as

Conducting prospect research to identify potential corporate partners

Securing new partnerships with firms whose values align with the charity.

Relationship building maintaining regular, high-quality communication with partners

Representing the charity at networking opportunities to raise the profile of the organization.

Hidayah is a volunteer-led organisation supporting LGBTQ+ Muslims through community support, advocacy, education, and wellbeing initiatives. This role requires a minimum commitment of 4–5 hours per week, with additional time required during busy periods or organisational activities.

Purpose of the Role

The National Outreach Officer Trustee leads on developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, community organisations, and outreach partners. The role supports Hidayah’s national growth and helps ensure LGBTQ+ Muslims can access inclusive support, representation, and community connections.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact between Hidayah and external organisations, community groups, and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with LGBTQ+ organisations, faith groups, educational institutions, and community networks.
• Promote Hidayah’s events, campaigns, and services across relevant communities and platforms.
• Lead outreach initiatives to engage under-represented LGBTQ+ Muslim communities, including trans and intersex individuals.
• Develop, coordinate, and support a national network of outreach volunteers and representatives.
• Work collaboratively with external organisations to provide signposting and access to wellbeing, legal, financial, and community support services.
• Represent Hidayah at events, workshops, panels, and educational opportunities where appropriate.
• Encourage inclusive dialogue, partnership working, and stronger engagement across LGBTQ+ and faith communities.
• Support the growth, visibility, and positive representation of Hidayah nationally.

Trustee Responsibilities

• Attend Trustee Board meetings and provide regular updates and reports.
• Support Hidayah events, planning meetings, and fundraising activities.
• Engage with internal communications and shared systems (e.g., Discord and Google Drive).
• Respond to emails and communications promptly.
• Contribute to the Annual Report.
• Uphold Hidayah’s mission, values, and code of conduct.
• Serve until the next AGM (subject to a 6-month probation period).

Organisation: Evangelical Mission Association (operating as Global Connections)

Location: UK-wide (hybrid)

Term: Three years (renewable up to a maximum of nine years)

Time commitment: Four Board meetings per year (typically four to five hours, with preparation), four meetings per year with Executive Leaders and one other trustee, plus ad-hoc meetings with the CEO as required. Travel expenses can be claimed.

We are looking for a Chair with the leadership, governance, and relational capacity to guide the Board effectively in this next season.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the Board effectively - chair Board meetings with clarity, fairness, and impartiality; work with the executive leadership team to shape agendas; foster a culture of trust, accountability, and constructive challenge; and ensure the Board focuses on its fiduciary, strategic, and generative responsibilities (including finance, risk, safeguarding, and trustee development).
• Support and line-manage the CEO - act as the primary point of accountability for the CEO on behalf of the Board; provide encouragement, guidance, and appropriate challenge between meetings; and lead the CEO’s annual appraisal and oversee performance review arrangements.
• Chair Council meetings - chair the twice-yearly Council meetings, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
• Represent the charity - act as an ambassador and spokesperson for Global Connections within the network and externally where appropriate.
• Contribute to governance and reporting - provide content for the Annual Trustees’ Report, with support from the Executive Leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the onboarding of new staff, ensuring timely and well-prepared arrivals in country

3. Onboard and support international volunteers, including in their roles as individual fundraisers

4. Develop engaging fundraising materials and messaging across digital platforms 

5. Collaborate with the Communications team to produce engaging volunteer scheme marketing content

6. Support the design and delivery of community fundraising campaigns to grow crowdfunding income

7. Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all fundraising outputs

8. Develop and deliver training and resources to strengthen capacity among volunteers and staff

9. Build and strengthen relationships with institutions in donor countries to grow community fundraising and crowdfunding opportunities

10. Identify and pursue new partnerships, networks, and platforms to increase fundraising reach

11. Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, using insights to improve future campaigns

12. Support the Conservation Team in Sainte Luce with volunteer orientations and pastoral care as required

13. Provide pastoral care to international staff and volunteers, supporting wellbeing alongside line managers

14. Act as a point of contact for welfare concerns, responding in line with organisational policies

15. Take clear and accurate minutes during meetings, ensuring actions are tracked

16. Promote and uphold SEED’s policies, including safeguarding, whistleblowing, and anti-corruption

17. Undertake additional tasks as required to support wider organisational priorities

Required Skills & Experience/Person Specification 

• Hold an undergraduate degree or be able to demonstrate a passion for this area

• Be able to work independently and be proactively

• Have good all-round computing skills and experience in Microsoft Office 

• Have previous experience working to deadlines, highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Communicate clearly and engagingly in written English across a range of media forms

• Communicate verbally to encompass the range of cultures you will be working with

• To have a good level of written English and be able to proofread documents to a high standard

• Be fluent in English. A working knowledge of French is desirable but not essential

• To have a proactive, creative approach to fundraising and problem-solving

• Ideally have previous experience living, working or travelling in a developing country, though is not essential

• Be capable and comfortable adapting to life in a low-income country context, sometimes with basic living conditions

• Be able to adjust to life in another culture and a foreign language and be able to always work with cultural sensitivity

• Be comfortable with campsite conditions whilst supporting the volunteers in the field for days at a time

• Be able to work and socialise within a small group of people and to be respectful and take personal responsibility for maintaining a good reputation for the NGO in the community

• Demonstrate the ability, social skills and confidence to give clear guidance and support to other members of the team in respect of the philosophy and procedures of SEED to protect both their safety and the reputation of the NGO.

This is an exciting time to lead Age UK Stockport’s Board. To be the Chair of Age UK Stockport is to be an active volunteer in our community. But it’s not the easiest volunteering role! It can be challenging, but it will be rewarding.

Our Board has recently been refreshed after the recruitment of three new trustees who, alongside our established trustees, complete the Board membership.

Our current Chair will be standing down later this year having served the maximum term for the role. We are looking for a dedicated, creative person, with a range of appropriate professional and life experiences to become our next Chair. They will have the interest and commitment to lead and drive forward the development of Age UK Stockport in line with our core values – to be Connected, Confident and Creative.

The successful candidate would join the Board as trustee and Chair Designate and then be elected Chair at the AGM in the autumn of 2026.

The Chair leads the Board, ensuring that it governs the charity effectively. You will support the Board to work together well and will manage and support the Chief Executive. The Chair is also an ambassador for the charity. 

Main responsibilities of the Chair

• Provide strategic leadership to the charity and the Board, ensuring effective governance and accountability
• Work in partnership with trustees, the Chief Executive and staff / volunteer team to achieve Age UK Stockport’s mission, vision and objectives
• Plan and chair the Board meetings and the AGM working with others to achieve this
• Act as a spokesperson and figurehead for Age UK Stockport
• Ensure Board meetings are properly run and recorded
• Represent Age UK Stockport externally, helping, with others, to build partnerships with funders, local / regional authorities, and community organisations

Every penny counts when it comes to improving the lives of the thousands of cats and kittens across the UK that need our help each year. Our Collection Box Volunteers help us raise vital funds by collecting and distributing collection boxes in their local area. Making a difference can mean as little as raising 20p, which is enough to feed one cat in our care for a day, to £150 which is the average cost of a cat in our care.

What can I expect to be doing?

As a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following:

• Delivering Collection Boxes to locations
• Recording donations and thanking local businesses and supporters

Community Liaison Officer

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. We are looking for an individual who embodies the spirit of CAG and continually keeps the integrity and goals of the organisation at the forefront of every decision that they make as part of their role.  To ensure we meet our goal of improving the well-being of young people and being a part of our local community we need to increase our reach. We’re looking for a volunteer Community Ambassador to play a vital role in helping us reach new audiences, form new partnerships and maintain current arrangements, raise awareness and generate income.

You will seek out opportunities to speak to and build relationships with community groups, organisations and businesses, raising awareness of our work and encouraging action through giving, campaigning and volunteering.

In addition to public speaking opportunities, you may attend events on our behalf, such as business networking meetings, fundraising events, community fetes, galas and more.

You will work closely with the CAG Management Committee for support and help mapping out opportunities within the local community and beyond.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Communicating and building relationships with current and potential community contacts.

• Promoting CAG in the local area.

• Attending meetings and events.

• Delivering talks about CAG’s aims and activities.

• Contacting existing supporters to encourage continued support.

• Researching new opportunities to build relationships in the local area, for instance: local places of worship, the Round Table, the Lions, local businesses.

• Working in close conjunction with our Social Media Volunteer and our Fundraising Volunteer.

• Communicating frequently with CAG Management Committee to keep them up to date.

We are looking for a volunteer who ideally should have / be:

• Commitment to CAG and its ethos.

• Organised, self-motivated, proactive and good at managing your own time.

• Someone who enjoys meeting new people and networking, and is comfortable with public speaking.

• The ability to build and maintain relationships. 

• A proactive attitude, drive and enthusiasm to carry out projects to conclusion. 

• The ability to influence others using excellent communication skills. 

• The ability to motivate others and work as part of a team. 

• Resilience, particularly when faced with setbacks.

• A willingness to carry out a range of administrative tasks. 

• Strategic vision and an ability to think creatively.

• A car driver or have ability to travel to attend events and meetings.

• The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.

About the location

Where will the volunteer be working?

The volunteer will work from home and will be required to attend meetings within the Solihull area.

Travel Limit

This role is partly remote but ideally the candidate should be available for face to face Committee and other meetings.

When will the volunteer be working?

Volunteer availability

• Flexible to suit you.

• You would need to be available to attend Committee meetings which normally take place in the evening.

• Occasional weekends and evenings to attend events.

Estimate of time commitment

• 0 - 3 hours / week – the candidate will be able to offer further time as they wish.

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 
• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations
• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
• championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection
• You’ll need to be aged 18+ to volunteer in this role. If you’re aged 16-17, you’ll need to be supervised by a friend, family member, or guardian over the age of 18 in order to carry out any fundraising activity.

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!
