About us
Who we are
Abeona Housing Co-operative is a small, resident-led housing co-operative based in Hampstead, London. We own and manage homes for our members, operating on co-operative principles where residents have a genuine say in how their homes and community are run. Our small staff team works closely with elected volunteer committees to deliver housing management, maintenance, finance, and member services. We are a friendly, close-knit organisation where everyone's contribution matters and good administration is genuinely valued.
Our culture and values
We are guided by co-operative values: self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. In practice, this means we work collaboratively, communicate openly, and take our responsibilities to members seriously. We expect staff to take initiative and work with a high degree of independence, while staying connected to the committees and members they serve. This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing things properly.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Abeona Housing Co-operative is committed to fairness and equal opportunity in everything we do. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, and we are committed to ensuring that no applicant or member of staff receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. We actively seek a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
