About us
Who we are
Our work
Artemis Studios is a registered charity providing inclusive, high-quality performing arts education for children, young people and adults.
Through theatre, musical theatre, dance, cheerleading and creative outreach education, we help people develop their skills, wellbeing and sense of belonging. Our work ranges from first experiences for young children to advanced training, national competitions, public performances and preparation for higher education and professional careers.
Our provision includes:
- Weekly theatre, musical theatre, dance and cheerleading classes
- Recreational and competitive performance companies
- Fully funded sixth-form performing arts education for eligible 16–18-year-olds
- Advanced training and progression opportunities for young adults
- Holiday activities, intensive courses and community programmes
- Work in schools and specialist settings
- Pastoral, SEND and personal-development support
- Qualifications, examinations and performance opportunities
- Affordable and funded places for children and families who may otherwise face barriers to taking part
- We work with hundreds of learners each week across Bracknell Forest and the surrounding area. As a charity, we are committed to keeping excellent arts education accessible and ensuring that financial circumstances, additional needs or lack of previous experience do not prevent someone from participating.
Excellence and achievement
Artemis combines an inclusive, community-led approach with ambitious training and professional standards.
Our learners have performed in major theatres and at Walt Disney World in Florida, achieved national cheerleading titles and progressed to leading drama schools, universities and creative careers. We have been recognised as an RSL Champion Centre and have achieved outstanding examination results, with all recent RSL candidates passing at Merit or Distinction and 80% gaining Distinction.
Our achievements also include national recognition for ensemble performance and being named Gold Team of the Year at the Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards 2026. Artemis Studios is proud to have been selected as one of the Mayor of Bracknell Forest’s chosen charities for 2026–27.
Supporting the whole person
We believe performing arts education is about much more than learning to sing, dance, act or compete.
Our team helps learners develop communication, teamwork, resilience, independence and practical skills for their future. Pastoral and SEND support is embedded throughout our provision, alongside mentoring, careers guidance, audition and interview preparation, work experience and support with applications to further and higher education.
We work closely with families, schools, local organisations and community partners to create safe, welcoming environments in which every learner can make meaningful progress.
Looking to the future
Artemis has grown considerably since it was founded in 2007. We now support a large and diverse community through education, performance, competition and outreach.
As we enter our next stage of development, we are strengthening our governance, developing sustainable partnerships and working towards a long-term home from which our charitable work can grow. We are seeking trustees who share our belief that excellent arts education should be ambitious, inclusive and accessible to everyone.
