About us
Who we are
Brum Unitarians is based in central Birmingham just off Five Ways/Broad Street and is a growing and genuinely inclusive community in the Unitarian tradition of rational inquiry, freedom of belief and ethical action. We hold weekly Sunday gatherings “for all, from atheists to theists and all in-between”. These are all-age gatherings with singing (everything from traditional Unitarian songs to folk to pop), a talk, reflection, time for connection, and children’s provision in the adjacent hall. These are attended by people from a diverse range of backgrounds and belief/non-belief who are looking for community and space to reflect, and to explore what life brings, with others.
Our vision includes growth into a thriving community centre hosting a range of additional events throughout the week, where appropriate in collaboration with other groups - such as talks/lectures, music/dance events, death cafes and a community choir. We are looking to recruit someone excited by this vision, with the strong project management skills to bring it to life. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include project management and coordination, operations, and admin/compliance support, as well as achieving revenue generation targets.
