We aim to actively encourage women & families to be self- reliant, through empowering them to identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions.
We achieve our aims and objectives by adopting a holistic (One Stop Shop) approach through the provision of multiple projects including:
- A baby Bank
- Befriending & Counselling services
- Domestic violence support,
- Training, education& Volunteering Opportunities
- Community Events
- Youth services and other user-led community services.
Our services are free to any woman or child, regardless of race, culture or religion who is facing similar barriers or problemsWe help reduce isolation, relieve distress and poverty, promote the confidence, skills of women and help facilitate social integration particularly asylum/refugee seekers and newly arrived communities. Since the start of our work, more than ten years ago, WFRC has filled a huge gap in the services available and has made a big difference on the lives of thousands of women and families.
We are a place dedicated to serving the needs of disadvantaged and vulnerable women by providing free services within a culturally sensitive, non-judgmental and confidential framework. Our strengths-based approach empowers women & families to build resilience by looking within to discover their own strengths, identify their own needs & utilize the resources available to make their own choices & create their own solutions.
