Wanderers Football Club

Who we are

Wanderers are a south London-based, community football club. We were formed in 1859 by Charles and John Alcock, were founder members of the Football Association in 1863, won the first FA Cup in 1872, won it four further times, but folded in 1887. With the support of the Alcock family, the club reformed in 2009 and currently have two men's teams and one women's team competing at the lower tiers of grassroots football, playing home games in Dulwich and Clapham and training in Peckham and Tulse Hill.

IDEALISTS - To promote an idealistic vision of how football should be enjoyed. Playing for Wanderers is an honour & we
expect players to promote the club’s values.

GUARDIANS - To be guardians of the heritage of the Wanderers Club. Participants should understand where we came from & where we are heading.

ALTRUISTS - To raise funds which benefit causes chosen by club members. Members should want to help others by using their skills, experience, and knowledge.

WINNERS - To prepare every team & every player to perform to their best. Players should grow in their role as part of a team which makes winning a habit.
