Job description

Job title: Digital Co-ordinator

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 + benefits package

Hours: 36.5 per week
Contract: Permanent

Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire (accessible from London Underground Metropolitan line and Chiltern mainline services).  Free office parking.
Are you looking for a fresh new challenge in digital and social media communications, where you can make a difference to the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people living in the Middle East?

Do you have experience of co-ordinating the design and production of engaging content for web and social media platforms?

Want a job where your digital skills and creativity will be valued and nurtured.  If so, then we want to hear from you?

Embrace the Middle East is an international Christian charity with over 160 years’ experience helping people of all faiths and none to free themselves from a life of poverty and injustice. Our Christian partners in Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Israel and Palestine run hospitals, clinics, schools, and centres for people with disabilities. They provide support for refugees, work for women’s rights, provide long-term development, as well as emergency humanitarian relief.

About the job

We have a great opportunity for a Digital Co-ordinator to assist in the development and delivery of Embrace’s website content, email communications and social media presence.  Working creatively, collaboratively and sensitively with colleagues, you will help shape the digital communications schedule and ensure these support the Charity’s public engagement and fundraising goals.  You will be able to craft a headline that reads well and is optimised for SEO.  You will apply your creative visual skills to select images that resonate with new and existing supporters to illustrate the transformational impact that is possible through their support, in some of the hardest to reach communities living in desperate situations.

Working within the communications team, you will have responsibility for ensuring the website, email communications and social media accounts are kept up to date and co-ordinate the smooth delivery of the communications schedule.  You will need experience of using a CRM system to execute email communication, working with external designers where needed in line with our editorial and visual brand identity guidelines.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of committed and passionate people; to be part of an organisation that invests in people’s continued professional development, values everyone’s contribution, pays a fair wage, alongside rewarding benefits and flexible working arrangements.  Our commitment to personal development will ensure you continue to grow and flourish in your career.

As a Christian organisation, we don’t ask that you share our faith, but rather that you are sympathetic to the Christian ethos and values of Embrace the Middle East.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and undertake a disclosure check as part of the Charity’s recruitment policy.

To apply, please click on the apply link to send us your CV and covering letter.

Closing date: 16 December 2019

Embrace the Middle East is an equal opportunities employer.  Recruitment and selection procedures reflect our commitment to child protection.
