THE VOLUNTEER ROLE: Training & Development Team
Create training programmes. Build leadership pathways. Develop adult volunteers.
As part of the Training & Development Team, you will design and deliver the full training system for adult volunteers across Ranger Cadets.
You will create:

Induction Training for new volunteers.
-
Safeguarding Training to ensure safety and compliance.
-
Command Programme Training for Unit Commanders and Deputy Commanders.
-
Multi‑Unit Leadership Training for those overseeing several cadet units.
-
Senior Management Training for high‑level organisational leaders.
-
Rank Progression Pathways that allow volunteers to advance with pride.
-
Skills Development Modules that build confidence and capability.
-
Ongoing CPD to keep volunteers informed, engaged and growing.
Your work will ensure every volunteer — from new recruits to senior leaders — has the knowledge, confidence and support they need to succeed.

As part of the Volunteering Team, you will lead on the creation, development and organisation of the entire volunteering programme at Ranger Cadets.
You will:

Lead on volunteer selection and onboarding.

Ensure volunteers feel welcomed, supported and valued.

Develop engagement systems that keep volunteers active and informed.

Work with leadership to ensure volunteers have what they need to succeed.

Help shape a positive, inclusive volunteer culture.

Support retention, recognition and volunteer wellbeing.

Be the friendly, organised, energising force behind our volunteer community.
