As a PR & Marketing Assistant at Quilombo UK, you will play a vital role in providing general marketing support while actively engaging in various marketing tasks to contribute to the overall success of our initiatives. This position offers opportunities for personal and professional development within the different units of Marketing, including Social Media, Images, Video, and Website. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from data collection and report compilation to active participation in campaign organization and development. You will also be actively contributing to real-life marketing projects and playing a key role in planning, developing, and implementing effective marketing strategies. This role requires a proactive and creative individual who will promote our organization through various channels, manage social media presence, contribute to innovative marketing programs, and engage in comprehensive market research.

Main tasks:

You would support marketing and communications across our three core projects:
• Think Different: Preventing Harm Through Education
A trauma-informed early psychoeducational programme for children and young people aged 8–18 in schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care. Aiming to improve emotional control, self-worth, and resilience to stress to prevent harmful behaviour before it begins.
• True Power: Change Starts Inside
A behavioural change and rehabilitation programme supporting offenders and helping reduce reoffending. Aiming to improve emotional management, self-worth, control, and accountability to prevent harmful behaviour repeating.
• ListenApp
A discreet victim support app designed to help individuals experiencing abuse alert their support network instantly. Connecting those in danger to their emergency contacts and preventing harmful behaviour escalating.
The role may include:

Role overview
The Digital Marketing Assistant supports New Leaf Fertility Partners in growing its online presence and reaching individuals and families who may benefit from fertility education, IVF support, or surrogacy guidance. The role focuses on helping New Leaf be visible, credible, and approachable in the digital spaces where people search for answers to deeply personal questions.
This is a practical, campaign-focused role that sits within our wider communications effort. It does not involve client interaction or medical content creation, but instead supports the channels and platforms that help people find us at the right moment.
Key responsibilities
Search and discoverability
- Support SEO efforts including keyword research relevant to fertility, IVF and surrogacy topics
- Help ensure New Leaf's website content is well-structured and findable
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and flag opportunities
Campaigns and email
- Assist in planning and sending email campaigns to our community and contacts
- Help manage paid and organic activity across Google and Meta platforms
- Track campaign performance and produce simple, clear reports for the team
Coordination
- Work alongside the content team to ensure messaging is consistent and sensitive
- Flag any content or targeting decisions that may need clinical or ethical review
Role boundaries
The Digital Marketing Assistant will not create clinical or medical content, manage individual client communications, or make decisions about how New Leaf is represented without team sign-off. Any content touching on treatment, outcomes or medical processes should be reviewed by the New Leaf team before publication.
Skills and qualities
- Some experience or training in digital marketing, whether formal or self-taught
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Google Analytics, Meta and LinkedIn Ads
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with an ability to translate data into clear takeaways
- Sensitive to the nature of the topics New Leaf works with
- Proactive and comfortable working remotely within a small team
Working arrangement
This is a flexible, part-time volunteer role of approximately 5–8 hours per week. Exact hours will be agreed with the Operations Manager. The scope of the role may grow as New Leaf's digital activity develops.

The purpose of this role is to help New Leaf be found by the people who need us and to ensure that when they find us, they are met with clarity, warmth, and trust.
