We are looking for a creative and reliable volunteer to join our Social Media Team, helping us share our work and increase awareness through engaging content.
This role focuses on creating Reels and social media content using Canva and instagram editor tools using existing charity materials. You don’t need to be an expert, however some experience and knowldege of social media communications is ideal. Guidance will be given as you develop your skills.
Working Style
You’ll be joining a small, friendly and active team. Content is planned in advance, with a relaxed monthly Zoom catch-up for planning and ongoing communication via WhatsApp for day-to-day support.
Key Responsibilities

Create engaging Reels and posts using Canva (Charity account access provided)

Use existing photos, videos, and content provided by the charity

Share adoption posts accross facebook and other platforms to help our dogs find homes

Help maintain consistency across our channels

Use Google Drive to access and organise content
Skills & Experience

Some experience with Canva (basic level is fine)

Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)

Comfortable using (or quick to learn) Google Drive

Creative eye for simple, engaging content

Good organisation and ability to work independently is essential

Love being out in the community and chatting to people? We are looking for friendly and engaging people with a passion for animals to help raise invaluable funds and awareness in the local area,
This is a flexible role, great if you’re not able to volunteer regularly. Most events are on weekends or bank holidays over the spring and summer.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping at Teckels events like our Spring Fair and Summer Show
- Raising awareness at local fairs and community events
- Researching opportunities and events to attend
What you’ll need
- A passion for Teckels and animals, and the enthusiasm to share this with others
- Friendly and engaging, comfortable talking to a range of people
- Willing to get stuck in and help out, with a good level of fitness

Love being out in the community and meeting new dogs? We are looking for friendly and organised volunteers to run fun dog shows at local events, helping to raise funds for our animals.
This is a flexible role, great if you’re not able to volunteer regularly. Most events are on weekends or bank holidays over the spring and summer.
What you’ll be doing
- Working in a small team to run a fun dog show. Preparing for the event and driving to the venue in our van.
- Setting up the ring, registering dogs, judging classes and chatting to people about our work.
What you’ll need
- Comfortable being around all kinds of dogs and reading their behaviour
- Confident and engaging, able to announce to groups and talk to people individually
- Good level of fitness and mobility, happy being on your feet for long periods
