We are currently recruiting for trainee or qualified therapist placements for our Express Plus arts therapy service. Express Plus offers creative, client-led therapy for children and young people aged 7–18 (or up to 25 where additional needs are present). The service runs during term-time only, with sessions held after school in Family Hubs located in the three most deprived wards of Westminster. We work within a community setting and place a strong emphasis on reflective, responsive practice.
To apply, candidates must be in the 2nd year of, or have completed, one of the following training courses:
- Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
- Systemic/Family therapy
- Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Art Psychotherapy
- Play therapy
This placement is also suitable for qualified therapists working towards professional accreditation.

We are currently offering an exciting honorary placement opportunity for a trainee or newly qualified counsellors/psychotherapists working towards BACP registration or accreditation.
About the Role:
Survivor Service
Honorary therapists work within the Psychotherapy Service team to provide emotional and therapeutic support to young people and children with learning disabilities and autistic people who have experienced abuse or trauma. The post will entail jointly assessing and providing individual therapy and having weekly supervision with our therapists.
Requirements:
· Availability for in-person clinical work on Tuesdays
· Capacity to hold a caseload of up to 3 clients
· Attendance at online clinical supervision on Mondays, either 9.00-11.00am or 11.30am-1.30pm
· Attendance at in-person team meetings on the third Monday of each month (helpful but not mandatory)
· Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a Level 4 or above counselling/psychotherapy course
· Student member of the BACP, UKCP, HCPC (or equivalent professional body) and adhere to ethical framework of awarding professional body
· Minimum of 50 supervised client hours completed
· Minimum commitment of 1 year

You will welcome clients and visitors, and support the smooth running of our local office at our drop in sessions on Mondays or Thursdays (or both)
Commitment: 6 hours/week (flexible)
Receptionists are the first point of contact for clients, welcoming visitors. You’ll record client details on our computer system, explain waiting times, and help ensure the service runs smoothly. The role builds communication, IT, and teamwork skills while making a real difference in the community. Full training and expense reimbursement are provided.
