Job description

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Education team. Across all of Humanists UK, our dream is of a tolerant world where rational thinking and kindness prevail. Our dedicated staff of 30+ and hundreds of volunteers work hard to achieve this aim.

We hope that you’ll join our team as the new Volunteer School Speaker Assistant Coordinator!

Humanists UK has a network of trained school speakers who visit schools on a voluntary basis to raise awareness and understanding of humanism amongst children and young people. As both the network and the demand from schools have grown, we need to increase our capacity to monitor and process requests from teachers. This is done by the Advancing Humanism Administrator (AHA), with the support of Volunteer School Speaker Assistant Coordinators.

We are seeking motivated individuals to become Assistant Coordinators and help support the growth of our School Speaker network.

Take a look at the full role description and person specification to help you decide whether the role is right for you.

Whatever your background, or prior experiences, if you’re passionate about supporting young people to learn about humanism, we’d love to hear from you.
