The New Normal are a growing charity whose mission is to change the way we discuss our grief, mental health and wellbeing in open and honest spaces. We believe that nobody should ever feel isolated, and there is always someone who will relate to your story. “If there’s one, there’s two.”

We run free virtual and in-person peer support meetings for adults facing life’s difficult moments, particularly bereavement. 

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about using social media for good? This is your chance to use your skills to support people through one of life's most difficult experiences.

You'll help us spread our message that nobody should face grief alone, connect people to our free virtual and in-person peer support meetings, and grow an online community built on openness and compassion. You'll receive regular check-ins and guidance from a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator, free safeguarding training, and a reference letter upon completion, all while building real, meaningful experience in the rewarding charity sector.

This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or career changers looking to build experience in charity communications or digital media.

What You'll Do

• Create social media posts in line with our brand tone: inclusive, warm, and sensitive to the subject of bereavement
• Schedule and post updates about weekly peer support meetings and events
• Help plan simple campaigns or awareness posts around key dates (Mental Health Awareness Week, Grief Awareness Week, World Suicide Prevention Day, etc.)
• Contribute creative ideas to help our mission reach more people online
• Communicate regularly with your coordinator and flag any challenges early

What We're Looking For

• Someone who can commit to the full 6-month term (potential to extend)
• Reliable, communicative, and respectful of sensitive subject matter
• An interest in mental health, bereavement support, or nonprofit communications
• Confidence using social media (Instagram)
• Comfortable working independently with light supervision and taking initiative

Are you an enthusiastic organiser with a flair for bringing people together? TVS is a small charity working with rural schools in South Africa to empower vulnerable young people through education. We are recruiting a team of volunteers and are searching for a volunteer events organiser to help plan and deliver fundraising events that will make a real difference for our beneficiaries.

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including securing venues, managing budgets, recruiting volunteers, and promoting events, while cultivating relationships with donors and stakeholders to maximize income. We would expect you to start small but build up to the creation of a sustainable funding stream on which the charity can rely.

We are looking for up to ten UK university students to join our volunteer Student Ambassadors team and help Ygam achieve its social purpose by reaching out to students at university. This will be achieved by advising Ygam on the needs of students, supporting with content development, organising activities at your campus, and join us at events to raise awareness of gaming and gambling harms.

We are seeking individuals who are outgoing, with a confident personality. You will enjoy engaging with other students and be able to advise us on the experiences of students with regards to gaming and gambling.

Join Young Roots as a Trustee and help young refugees rebuild their lives.

Young Roots is a London-based charity supporting young people aged 14–25 who are seeking safety in the UK, many of whom are here alone. Our youth clubs are places of welcome for young people who are isolated, lonely and without family.Our caseworkers make sure young people have everything they need to thrive - somewhere safe to live, a college place, a doctor or a lawyer. And our campaigners are amplifying young people's voices, calling for a fairer, kinder asylum system.

We are now looking for passionate and committed people to join our Board of Trustees. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in:

This is a chance to bring your expertise to an ambitious organisation delivering life-changing support and campaigning for a more compassionate asylum system. You'll help guide our strategy, strengthen our impact and ensure we are fit for the future.

You don't need previous trustee experience — we'll provide training, support and development. What matters most is your enthusiasm for our mission and your commitment to making a difference.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to equip men with the tools, skills, and confidence they need to live happier, healthier, more resilient lives — before they reach crisis point.

To make this mission a reality, we need a strong start. That’s where you come in.

What the Fundraising Committee Will Do

We’re looking for volunteers who can give just a few hours per month to help us:

• Identify small grants and local funding opportunities

• Support simple fundraising campaigns and appeals

• Help plan community fundraising activities

• Build relationships with local supporters, groups, and businesses

• Bring creative ideas to help us raise our profile and generate early income

• Lay the foundations for sustainable fundraising as we grow

You don’t need to be a fundraising expert — just motivated, organised, and willing to help.

The Volunteer Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader leads the local volunteer team by motivating and supporting members to deliver agreed objectives. The role provides strategic direction, management, and guidance while ensuring a positive, inclusive, and effective team environment. 

What will you be doing?

To lead, motivate and support the local volunteer team in developing, delivering and monitoring a yearly local strategy that aligns with Crimestoppers's vision, mission and organisational priorities.

What difference will you make?

As Volunteer Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader, you will play a key role in empowering people to create safer communities. 

You will lead the local volunteer team, setting direction and ensuring activity aligns with Crimestoppers’ mission that people are the ones who stop crime. 

You will working closely with the Police, Community Safety Partnerships, and local organisations, and help deliver campaigns and events that improve community safety. 

Through regular communication with regional and national staff, you will ensure your volunteers stay informed, connected, and supported.

You also help to recruit, support, and develop volunteers, creating an inclusive and motivated local team. 

Volunteer Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader applicants must live in the local area where you are applying.

This role requires a commitment of around three years to support continuity and effective delivery. Monthly time commitments vary and may include:
