About the Role 

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. We aim to increase inclusion and representation for the disabled community across society. We have several different services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails and more. 

As we continue to grow, we are on a mission to make finding and accessing information around everything to do with disability easier. Hence, we're putting together a brand-new team of volunteers who are passionate about content and using the power of social media for good

Who Are We Looking For?

·Someone who is passionate about our mission of inclusion, representation, and belonging.

·Having social media skills is helpful, but enthusiasm for creating and editing content, building online communities, and supporting our digital presence is essential.

·You should enjoy research, taking on challenges, and bringing a creative mindset to your work.

·Be willing to learn or have knowledge of editing and posting videos.

·Be able to support our online initiatives while collaborating with our team.

What Do We Expect?

·Must be willing to undertake our training programme, which will be completed virtually at a time that suits you.

·Have a DBS check (preferably be on the update service) or be willing to complete one with us.

·Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it, please discuss it with us; we’re happy to make small changes where appropriate.)

About This Role

Location: Remote

Summary of Role:

The experienced Salesforce Implementation Specialist will spearhead our transition to Salesforce and its Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) solution. You will be responsible for translating our core organizational workflows—spanning Fundraising, Program Management, and Stakeholder Engagement—into Salesforce's scalable, highly optimized CRM for nonprofits.

What Will You Do?

Following the industry-standard frameworks and Nonprofit Cloud best practices, your core duties will include:

• Meet with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and needs for Solution Community's Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

• Initial configuration and setup of Salesforce NPC, including customizations of standard objects (like Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities), creating Custom Objects and fields, as well as UI page/layout customizations to store and display our unique business data.

• Collaborate with internal teams to translate current data into a scalable, high-integrity Salesforce data schema.

• Set up workflows and automation for diverse revenue streams, including Single Payment Gifts, Recurring Gifts, Matching Gifts, and Inbound Grants, aligning with NPC's native architecture.

• Build out custom fundraising dashboards and campaign reports using the native NPC analytics packages.

• Integrate with third-party platforms and tools as needed to support our newly designed and developed workflows.

• Deliver clear, step-by-step training to both technical administrators and non-technical staff.

• Document all custom configurations, automation, and data dictionaries to ensure the platform's long-term health.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce implementation experience, ideally with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) as a Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, or equivalent proven implementation experience.

• Relevant experience in your field or functional area

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑moving environment

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You can expect us to

• support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection
• cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy
• provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities

What we need from you

• help set up and/or man stalls at events
• help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections
• help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances
• promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

• Is passionate about fundraising or has relevant experience.

• Can work remotely.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about increasing and representation for disabled families across society. 

What do I have to do?

Attend meetings roughly four times a year to help steer the organisation towards its goals. And using your skill set to help grow and advance our non-profit. 

Part of the fabric of Buttons & Bubbles that wherever possible people who volunteer and work with us have lived experience of disability and or illness, (including parents, carers, siblings and friends) This includes our board members.

Reach: Reach Drug and Alcohol Services is the commissioned community drug and alcohol provision for Dorset. It provides a range of support, interventions and treatments for adults and young people wanting to make positive changes to their drug and/or alcohol use, as well as offering support to family members and running campaigns and events that raise awareness of addiction and celebrate recovery in the community.

Reading Through Recovery -A weekly 90‑minute group supporting anyone on a substance or alcohol recovery journey, whether actively using or abstinent, through the shared experience of reading.​​

In a relaxed and inclusive space, participants bring a book they’re reading, explore themes that resonate, and dive into stories that spark insight and strength. Together, we share literature that has inspired, supported, or shaped our recovery journeys, with optional recommendations and themed reading ideas each week.​​

This is more than a book group, it's a place to find meaning, connection, and momentum in recovery.​

Details of the role & tasks

The role:

We are seeking enthusiastic readers to co-facilitate our new project – Reading Through Recovery. Volunteer group facilitators will help to make newcomers feel welcome, and empower everyone in the meeting to contribute, should they wish to.

This role is ideally suited to people with lived experience of recovery, either directly, or through supporting a close friend or family member, although we welcome applications from anyone with an empathetic, non-judgemental attitude that can build strong working relationships with others.

Tasks may include:

• Facilitating a non-judgemental space to allow participants to express feelings and share experiences freely.

• Foster a sense of community and trust

• Enable participants to connect through shared narratives, enabling them to relate to one another’s journeys.

• Encourage reflection and discussion.

• Confident and calm in group settings

• Good IT skills – the SMART Recovery UK training all takes place electronically and includes submitting some written responses via email

The Event Lead will lead the strategy, design, and execution of all events, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals and deliver memorable experiences. Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Event Planning:

• Budget Management:

  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.

  • Track expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, venues, and partners to ensure successful event execution.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to meet quality standards and timelines.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the event planning team to achieve excellence in execution.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

• Event Marketing & Promotion:

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events, including developing promotional materials, social media campaigns, and press outreach.

  • Ensure a strong event presence across digital and physical platforms to maximize attendance and engagement.

• Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Measure event success through post-event reporting, feedback collection, and KPIs.

  • Use insights to refine event planning processes and improve future events.

Our membership offers young people and survivors a path to heal, learn digital skills and interactively participate in our Alchemic 369 Book Club, where members engage in weekly interactive discussions, debates and critical analysis of African, Caribbean and world history, Ifa, classics and political thought. Members will sharpen their reading, reasoning and imagination skills, with opportunities to discuss works directly with authors, highly subsidised plant-based transformative retreats and join a community designed to empower and educate.

Job Purpose:

To continuously scan, analyse, and interpret online and offline conversations across social platforms, community spaces, advocacy networks, media outlets, and public discourse in order to identify emerging stories, under-reported experiences, and individuals who may later become potential guests for the organisation.

The primary purpose of this role is to act as an early-warning and discovery system for the Story Intelligence Team, ensuring that no relevant narrative is missed while it is still developing in the public domain.

This includes detecting patterns of discussion, recurring themes, viral testimonies, advocacy movements, survivor or whistleblower disclosures, and community-shared experiences that indicate the presence of a larger untold story.
