LAH is a community-led charity driven by and for Latin Americans in the UK. For decades, we have been supporting Latin American and other Spanish and Portuguese-speaking migrants, championing their rights, wellbeing, and inclusion. We are a small, close-knit team with big ambitions, and everything we do is rooted in the lived experiences of the communities we serve. Our work takes place across London and at our community centre in Kilburn, North West London.

About the role

This is a voluntary, non-executive governance role with a time commitment of just 2 to 3 hours per month. As Finance Trustee, you will Chair our Finance and Fundraising Sub-Committee, providing board-level oversight of LAH's financial health: reviewing management accounts, scrutinising budgets and forecasts, ensuring our financial controls are robust, and supporting the wider Board of Trustees at Latin American House to understand financial risk and sustainability.

You will work closely with LAH Director and finance team, contributing to the approval of annual accounts and budgets, and ensuring we meet our Charity Commission and Companies House obligations.

This is strategic oversight, not day-to-day operations - the hands-on finance work stays with our staff.

What we are looking for

You will have a direct Latin American background, this is a requirement of LAH's governing documents, alongside experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial management. You will be able to translate financial concepts clearly for non-finance trustees, bring sound judgement and analytical thinking, and be comfortable in an organisation where systems are still growing and developing.

You do not need prior trustee or charity experience. What matters is integrity, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine commitment to the communities LAH serves.

 Every penny counts when it comes to improving the lives of the thousands of cats and kittens across the UK that need our help each year. Our collection box fundraising volunteers help our volunteer groups raise vital funds by collecting and distributing collection boxes in their local area. Making a difference can mean as little as raising 20p, which is enough to feed one cat in our care for a day, to £150 which is the average cost of a cat in our care.

Time expectation

Volunteer with us!

At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, so most of the care that we provide is funded through fundraising and through our shops.

To help us to continue to provide the care that we do, we are looking for fun and enthusiastic volunteers to join us in our Acorns charity shops. Our shops are exciting and dynamic, with no two days being the same. From our walk-in customers, to receiving donations, and everything in between!

We are currently looking for volunteers to support our team with online sales by photographing items, creating listings using AI software, fulfilling and packaging orders, and posting completed orders.

This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable using technology, organised, and confident working as part of a team

What you'll be doing:

• Photographing items to sell online

Pershore Superstore is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. You can volunteer the hours that suit you, but it would be great if you could support in the shop for at least 10 hours a week.

Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

Voluntary Action Camden (VAC) is seeking a dedicated Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. A charity  based in  Croydon, Surrey, London, UK is looking for volunteer Charity Team Assistants; to volunteer 30 unpaid hours per week. The Charity serves a multi ethnic community especially people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds. 

Responsibilities:

• To assist GNDFuk's permanent instructors in finding and providing creative forms of engagement for both our youth and adult programmes.
• To assist in project and schedule planning including setting and clearing up 30 minutes before and after projects and events
• To assist in ensuring that activities are executed safely
• To assist in coordinating events and activities to encourage the objectives of GNDFuk

The Pirate Castle is looking for a voluntary Treasurer Trustee to join our friendly and committed Trustee Board.  We are an iconic Camden-based community boating charity, established in 1966; we are proud to say that 2026 is our 60th anniversary.

Our well-known castle building sits on the banks of the Regent's Canal in the heart of Camden Town.  We rent out our community space and offer a range of watersports for children and adults of all ages and abilities.  Kayaking and canal boating are core to our work and we tackle disadvantage and support our community by offering subsidised sport and recreation, including through the school holidays.  If you ever walk along the canal tow path in Camden you can't help but notice us on the water!

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis or accounting, ideally with a professional accountancy qualification.The role involves working with our contracted Bookkeeper and Development Manager to monitor and oversee the charity's finances month-to-month and to report to trustees at Board meetings.  It also involves overseeing the preparation of the annual accounts, together with our external accounts inspector (our annual income level is below the audit threshold). 

The charity is in a sound financial position.  As the Treasurer you will also be involved in and have an important voice in the charity's strategic management and governance.  We are a friendly Trustee Board and staff team, looking for a Treasurer with solid financial analysis and an ability to communicate with others from all walks of life.  You can expect about 4-5 hours' work per month on average.  The Board meets 10 times each year, usually on a Monday evening.  Most of our meetings are held remotely though two meetings each year are held in person in our Camden Castle building. 

Please note this is a voluntary (unpaid) position.  As a Trustee you would be a director of our company limited by guarantee.  We maintain directors and officers insurance for our Board members.

What will you be doing?

SPORT 4 SUCCESS is looking for an experienced marketing or social media professional to lead the development of our marketing strategy and improve how we communicate our work.

We are a UK-based charity that uses sport to help young people develop life skills such as teamwork, communication and leadership. We have delivered a growing number of programmes and events, but our marketing and social media have not developed at the same pace as our delivery.

The volunteer will take leadership of our overall marketing direction, with support from trustees and less experienced volunteers who can help with content creation and delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Creating a practical marketing and social media strategy
• Improving how we communicate our impact through stories, case studies, photos, video and programme results
• Advising on the best platforms, audiences and types of content for the charity
• Creating or directing the creation of social media content
• Helping establish templates, processes and brand guidance
• Reviewing performance data and adjusting the approach where needed
• Providing guidance and creative direction to other volunteers supporting marketing activity

This is a strategic and hands-on role. The volunteer will have freedom to shape our approach and test new ideas, while working closely with the charity’s trustees and wider team.

We are looking for someone with at least three years of professional experience in marketing, social media, communications, branding, content strategy or a related area.

The role is unpaid, UK-based and expected to require around two hours per week, with flexibility around when the work is completed.

We are looking for someone with at least three years of professional experience in marketing, social media, communications, branding, content strategy or a related field.

The most important requirement is the ability to develop a clear, practical marketing strategy and turn it into consistent activity. You should be comfortable taking ownership of the charity’s marketing direction while working collaboratively with trustees and other volunteers.

Our ideal volunteer will have:

• Experience creating and implementing marketing or social media strategies
• A strong understanding of social media platforms, audiences and content formats
• The ability to create engaging written and visual content, or provide clear creative direction to others
• Strong written communication and storytelling skills
• The confidence to introduce new ideas and advise a small charity on its marketing priorities

Experience in the charity, education, youth or sports sectors would be useful, but it is not required. Experience supporting a growing organisation, working with volunteers or developing a brand would also be valuable.

You should be creative, reliable and comfortable working within a small team. We are looking for someone who will listen to different perspectives but can also make clear recommendations and lead the marketing approach.

You do not need to produce every piece of content yourself. Other volunteers and team members can support delivery. However, you should be able to set the direction, establish suitable processes and provide constructive guidance.

An interest in helping young people develop their skills and future opportunities through sport and education would be a strong fit with our work.

Strong marketing will help SPORT 4 SUCCESS reach more young people, schools, delivery partners, funders and volunteers.

At present, much of our impact happens through our programmes, events and direct relationships, but we do not communicate that impact consistently. This limits our ability to build awareness, attract support and show the value of our work.

Your work would help us create a clearer identity, communicate our purpose more effectively and build a consistent presence across our social media and wider marketing channels.

A stronger strategy would help us:

• Reach more schools and youth organisations
• Attract volunteers with the skills needed to grow the charity
• Build relationships with sports organisations and corporate partners
• Support fundraising and sponsorship activity
• Promote programmes and events
• Share evidence of our impact
• Give young people and schools a stronger voice in our communications

The role will also help us move away from ad hoc marketing and towards a structured approach that the wider team can follow.

As a small charity, this role would have direct influence. The volunteer’s ideas and recommendations would shape how SPORT 4 SUCCESS presents itself, communicates its work and grows over the next stage of its development.

The result will be a stronger platform for helping more young people build skills, confidence and future opportunities through sport and education.
