What will you be doing?

We are looking for 2 volunteer coordinators to join the coordinators team who will volunteer to support our volunteers in various roles. The volunteer coordinators will 

• Help to recruit, and assure the adequate training of suitable, reliable volunteers
• Co-ordinate the volunteers to ensure that there is always someone available to support all our services 
• Help to create and distribute information regarding volunteer policies and procedures
• Monitor volunteers during their appointments to retain or replace candidates
• Meet with volunteers to assess their progress and satisfaction, as well as to conduct evaluations or skills audits
• Help to assess organisational and programme needs to determine number and range of volunteers needed for particular projects
• Induction of new volunteers
• Maintain regular communication among volunteers and between an organisation and its volunteers, in order to share news, progress, and available positions
• Maintains a database of volunteers and projects and track metrics
• Help to promote the charity and its volunteer accomplishments 
• Set up and arrange any relevant training required for volunteers

What are we looking for?

The Volunteer Co-ordinators role requires proactive and detail orientated individuals with an organised approach and an interest in supporting small charities. They will have good communication skills. The Volunteer Co-ordinators are responsible for the volunteer aspects of Burning Nights CRPS Support to ensure the smooth running of the charity’s services and ensuring that the volunteers are used optimally.

Our Volunteer Co-ordinators are also responsible for ensuring that suitable volunteers have DBS checks where needed and they are adequately trained to do their role working with our Charity Administrator.

What difference will you make?

You most likely will not have heard of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and you wouldn’t be alone in this! But we see and know first hand the impact it has on those living with it and on those caring for someone with the condition. We know the huge challenges they face even with simply getting a correct diagnosis, let alone the appropriate treatment and relevant support. 

You will join the charity during a challenging period and your expert knowledge and experience will be invaluable to our success. You will have a key role in ensuring we can maintain our support services and become a sustainable charity to allow us to fulfil our aims.

This role is done remotely using Zoom, phone and email. You would be working closely with the volunteers and trustees. However we would have regular updates and remote meetings with the Chair and/or Trustees.

The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children. We aim to actively encourage women to be self-reliant, through empowering them to identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions.

We offer short term home visits, counselling sessions, baby bank, practical & emotional One to One support, Domestic violence groups, Awareness raising workshops and drop in or chat groups to help women facing crises or challenging situations.

Purpose of the volunteer role: 

Our charity shop helps us raise funds so we can provide our services to the people who need us. The shop heavily relies on a team of volunteers to help run it and support our staff. By helping out in our shop, you can make a difference to vulnerable & disadvantaged women and their families in Wolverhampton.

We are looking for a volunteer delivery driver who will work as part of our friendly team to collect & deliver essential items such as clothing, food and toiletries to local families in need.

Task Description

his is an opportunity to undertake a satisfying and rewarding role. As part of our team of volunteers, you will collect and transfer donations for the charity, providing an extremely useful and appreciated service to the Charity. You should have the use of your own car and hold a full driving licence. 

Principal Responsibilities: 

• To pick up / collect donated stock from donors.

• To deliver stock to the charity or to clients.

• To transfer donations between our donors and the shop or clients.

• To contribute to a non-judgemental and safe space.

• Pick up supplies for charities. 

• To ensure you have an understanding (appropriate to your role) of, and comply with WFRC’s procedures.

• To comply with WFRC’s Health and Safety Policy, Data Protection Policy and to protect your own and others’ health, safety and welfare.

• To manage the effective monitoring and evaluation of the service.

Children’s charity Mentor Link is recruiting Volunteer Mentors from the West Midlands and Gloucestershire area to provide one to one support to vulnerable children and young people in schools and the community. Mentor Link are keen to hear from people in business and the community, who would be interested in becoming a Volunteer Mentor to support a young person to achieve their full potential. The mentors are specially trained to listen to and support young people and aim to improve their self- esteem and engagement in learning. The charity has an excellent track record of success in achieving positive outcomes with children and young people.

To help us to continue to provide the care that we do, we are looking for fun and enthusiastic volunteers to join us in our Acorns charity shops. Our shops are exciting and dynamic, with no two days being the same. From our walk-in customers, to receiving donations, and everything in between!

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer work experience from 6th July to 16th July as we’re already at full capacity during that period.

We are also seeking an individual with the potential to progress into a Key Volunteer position.

As a Shop Volunteer with us, you will be:

• Engaging with customers
• Accepting and sorting donated stock
• Pricing donations for sale
• Working on the till

Fox and Goose shop is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. You can volunteer the hours that suit you, but it would be great if you could support in the shop for at least 3 hours a week.

We are currently looking for volunteers to support our team with online sales by photographing items, creating listings using AI software, fulfilling and packaging orders, and posting completed orders.

This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable using technology, organised, and confident working as part of a team

Could you use your social media, marketing and communications experience to raise the profile of a small charity? Help us to increase our social media presence and engagement, generate greatr content and help promote existing activities.

Our charity delivers a range of awareness campaigns and support services to patients, relatives, partners and carers who have been affected by a poorly understood pain condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). We are looking for 3 experienced social media and communications volunteers who are able to develop posts including graphics and campaigns from inception to design, create fresh and engaging content, increase engagement and to increase awareness of the charity and of the condition we represent.

Even though we are a small organisation we have big ideas and would like to draw on your experience in the communications world to help the charity deliver engaging content and communications to help us spread our aims and message to all our audience.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Engagement: Help increase engagement, improve the number of followers/likes, create & execute a content calendar
• Content Creation: Produce fresh, branded and engaging content for our social media channels 
• Graphics: Prepare graphics and text for sharing across channels 
• Engage with our followers and encourage interaction 
• Manage and maintain social media channels on a regular basis
• Support charity campaigns, marketing, events and fundraising activities by promoting them on our social media feeds
• Use your creative skills to support strategies to engage, grow, and widen our target audiences
• Develop publicity materials and communication techniques for social media to raise awareness of our chronic condition 

You will be with a small team of volunteers who will provide an overview of our existing social media content, our brand and how we have approached our social media content to date. 

Experience
We are looking for a volunteer who has experience in:

• Different types of marketing and communications media, including electronic and social media
• Writing and editing marketing content for social media platforms including Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn (especially TikTok, Instagram Reels & posts and YouTube)
• Building strategies to increase social media following and /or build fundraising or awareness campaigns
• Developing a coherent brand voice for social media, from content creation to community interactions
• Using and setting up tools such as Buffer, Canva etc
• Creating and executing content calendars to help plan social media activity

Norfolk Tennis is the county governing body for tennis and padel in Norfolk and a volunteer-led Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity No. 1203480). We work in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association to support clubs, venues, coaches and players across the county, helping more people enjoy the physical, social and community benefits of tennis and padel. Our work aligns with the LTA’s “Tennis Opened Up” strategy, which aims to make the sport accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. Norfolk Tennis is governed by a Board of Trustees supported by a volunteer Management Committee representing clubs, venues and key development areas across the county. As tennis and padel continue to grow, Norfolk Tennis is seeking individuals to join its Board of Trustees and contribute strategic leadership to the development of tennis and padel across the county.

About the Trustee Role
Trustees play a vital role in ensuring Norfolk Tennis is well governed, financially sustainable and strategically focused. Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the Management Committee, Trustees help ensure the organisation operates effectively as a charity while delivering meaningful impact for tennis and padel across the county.

Trustees are responsible for:

To support strong governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Norfolk Tennis is seeking a volunteer trustee with expertise in charity law.

This role focuses on providing guidance on legal responsibilities, governance best practice and risk management to support the organisation’s long-term stability and integrity.

Key contributions include:
• Advising the Board of Trustees on charity law, governance and regulatory requirements
• Supporting compliance with Charity Commission guidance and best practice
• Reviewing governing documents and supporting any required updates
• Providing input on policies, risk management and decision-making processes
• Ensuring the organisation operates within its legal and charitable objectives
• Offering guidance on contracts, partnerships and potential liabilities

This role would suit someone with experience in charity law, governance, legal advisory or regulatory compliance, ideally with an understanding of the charitable or sports sector.

Governance & Safeguarding Trustee
This role helps ensure Norfolk Tennis maintains the highest standards of governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Working alongside the County Safeguarding Officer and fellow trustees, this role supports the Board in maintaining robust policies, procedures and governance frameworks that reflect both charity law and LTA safeguarding expectations.

Key contributions include:

• Supporting strong governance structures and trustee responsibilities
• Providing oversight of safeguarding frameworks and best practice
• Ensuring appropriate policies and reporting processes are in place
• Advising on governance matters including risk management and compliance
• Promoting a culture of safe, responsible and ethical sport across the county

This role would suit someone with experience in governance, safeguarding, compliance, law or risk management.

Inclusion & Disability Trustee

The Inclusion & Disability Trustee helps champion equality, diversity and accessibility across the county, supporting initiatives that widen participation and remove barriers to involvement.

Our Fundraising Volunteer roles are very flexible, often certain times of the year are busier than others. You can choose your level of involvement to suit your schedule!

Support, guidance and keeping you safe 

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us. 

The wellbeing of our people is important and at Cats Protection we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk and all those that we encounter as part of our activities.

Description

Our small charity delivers awareness campaigns and a range of support services to patients, relatives, partners and carers who have been affected by a debilitating chronic condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). We are urgently looking for 2 experienced email marketing volunteers to join our communications team.

You will be a big link to our charity's clients who are vulnerable and isolated, to them learning more about events, our latest articles, fundraising events as well as ensuring they are aware of the services that we offer that be of help to them. You will also be helping us to raise awareness of this devastating chronic condition.

Even though we are a small organisation we have big ideas and having regular contact through emails and newsletters will show consistency and know they can rely on us to be there for them.

We would like the volunteer to help with:

• Email content: Develop our communication & marketing content calendar, write compelling regular email content, including calls for donations & support, that is relevant and has clear a call-to-action and high click through rates;
• Email content (membership): Create a regular email newsletter for our membership scheme
• Create a number of automated email series - for donors, members, fundraisers and more
• Newsletter strategy: Help us plan and articulate how we can use emails and newsletters to strengthen our organisation, motivate our supporters and communicate with our sponsors;
• Design and implement campaigns and promotional activity

What are you looking for in a volunteer?

We are looking for 2 volunteers who have:

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Good communicator
• Good computer skills and a willingness to be contacted via email and/or video chat
• Experience using email marketing software - specifically Mailchimp
• Marketing skills
• Experience of working on marketing strategies
• Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team, organisation and our services users (we are not expecting you to know about the condition we support)
• Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements
• Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and is able to work with these
• Open to feedback
• A passion for marketing and email marketing
• Ability to work flexibly on your own or as part of a team with enthusiasm and commitment
• Ability to create email campaigns with little supervision (after initial support)

With your help we will expand our readership to ensure more people are aware of this condition, which will help those affected by it when they see a health professional.

• Either in or office hours - however we are flexible

Estimate the time commitment

• 3-6 hours / week - but this is flexible however ideally it would be 4 hours or over to ensure email campaigns are going out at the right time
