We are seeking passionate and strategic thinkers with expertise in one of the following: fundraising, marketing, communications, or law. We are looking for at least two new members to join our Board of Trustees, a group of people who lead the charity and decide how it is run.
Trustees will act as a sounding board and strategic advisors to the CEO and the senior leadership team, helping us to diversify our income streams, amplify our reach, operate transparently and in the public interest, and ensure our vital messaging cuts through the noise.
You do not need prior experience as a Trustee to apply, but we are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who have demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas:
Fundraising Expertise:
- Experience in developing and executing income generation strategies.
- Knowledge of corporate partnerships, major donor cultivation, or digital fundraising.
- The ability to guide the team in identifying new funding opportunities to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Marketing & Communications Expertise:
- A strong background in public relations, brand positioning, or digital marketing.
- Experience in designing high-impact campaigns that drive engagement and behaviour change.
- The ability to help us reach diverse audiences - from children and young people, to parents, carers, educators, and policymakers.
Legal Expertise:
1. A strong legal background, and understanding of a broad range of legal fields relevant to both the operation and focus area of the charity.
2. The ability to bring legal expertise to the Board, for example, by providing and communicating a legal perspective in a clear, practical manner to fellow trustees, supporting informed decision-making.
3. The ability to support good governance, helping the charity to operate transparently and in the public interest.

Purpose of the role:
We are seeking a Web Developer to help build, improve, and maintain the public-facing and internal web platforms that power our work.
About the role:
As Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web-based systems that support the CIC’s website, membership areas, and digital services. You will help turn organisational needs into functional, secure, and user-friendly web experiences.
Your work will directly affect how people access information, join the community, and use our digital services.
Experience Qualification and Requirements

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties
· Develop, maintain, and improve web pages and web-based systems that support organisational services and digital operations.
· Build, adapt, and enhance features for both public-facing and member-facing areas of the website.
· Ensure websites are fully responsive across devices and browsers and optimised for usability and clarity.
· Apply accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive access for all users.
· Work closely with designers to implement layouts, styling, and user interface components accurately.
· Collaborate with content teams to ensure content is presented clearly, consistently, and effectively.
· Integrate open-source tools, plugins, or services where required to support organisational needs.
· Support performance optimisation, including page speed, load times, and efficient front-end behaviour.
· Apply basic security practices, including updates, access controls, and secure handling of web assets.
· Test web pages and features thoroughly to identify bugs, broken layouts, or usability issues.
· Fix bugs and make iterative improvements based on feedback and testing results.
· Document technical changes, updates, and development processes clearly for continuity and collaboration.
· Support future platform growth by contributing to new features, pages, and digital services.
· Work within existing digital systems and frameworks while recommending improvements where appropriate.
· Ensure all web systems comply with data protection, GDPR principles, safeguarding requirements, and ethical standards.
· Collaborate with digital, safeguarding, and systems leads to minimise risk when handling user data or sensitive content.
Essential Skills and Experience
· Practical experience in web development or front-end development.
· Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
· Experience building responsive and accessible web pages.
· Ability to follow design specifications and implement layouts accurately.
· Experience testing and fixing bugs or layout issues.
· Ability to document work clearly and work collaboratively with non-technical teams.
· Understanding of GDPR principles and secure handling of web content.
· Equivalent professional or voluntary experience accepted.
Desirable Skills and Experience
· Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar.
· Familiarity with open-source tools or plugins.
· Experience working in non-profit, CIC, or community-led organisations.
· Basic understanding of performance optimisation and web security.
· Experience supporting ongoing platform development or service expansion.
What This Role Requires:
· Experience or working knowledge of web development.
· Understanding of HTML, CSS, and at least one scripting or backend language (e.g. JavaScript, PHP, or similar).
· Ability to work with open-source frameworks or tools.
· Basic awareness of web accessibility and performance principles.
· Comfort working in a collaborative development environment.
· Willingness to work within safeguarding, ethical, and data protection frameworks.

We our looking to urgently hire a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) intern to join our team in the mission of raising awareness about neurodiversity and be a part of making an impact in the growing movement of neuroacceptance through their contributions.
The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Intern will be well supported by the lead of projects and mentoring and co-founder of the charity and there will be opportunities for CPD in Neuordiversity and Adult Education Theory.

CONTRACT LENGTH: MAY 1st 2026 – APRIL 30th 2027 (Open to two further yearly contract extensions)
Responsibilities of the Job position
- To attend online training sessions developing your own knowledge in neurodiversity and introduction to adult pedagogy (how adults learn).
- To edit, update and design content for our new Virtual Learning Environment (Google Classroom) for our Neurodiversity Youth Advocate programmes.
- To provide technical “on-call” support both for our staff and students for sessions in the Post-16 Reflective Practice & Advocacy Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme on MS Teams.
- To lead and document debriefs for sessions of the Post-16 Reflective Practice & Advocacy Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme.
- To develop and deliver a 30-minute Neurodiversity Awareness CPD Presentation for the biannual “Conference Day” training sessions which trains trustees and staff members.
Key responsibilities & objectives of the job:
· To work with the organisation on a remote flexi-time monthly basis to complete tasks (with assistance from our Projects and Mentoring Lead with task delegation and organising) which could include the following:
(i) Training: Attend remote training events on Neurodiversity and/or Adult Education Theory during May, January, & February
(ii) Google Classroom VLE Creation: Complete creation of material for the 2026-27 programme Term 2 & 3 component and 2027 Summer School using material from our old VLE (Moodle) in June, August, March and April.
(iii) Technical “On-Call” Support: Provide technical support for students and staff for sessions in the Post-16 Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme in September, October, November, January and February.
(iv) Debrief chairing: Chair and lead debriefs for some of the sessions of the post-16 Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme.
(v) Conference Day Presentation Development: In March Develop a 30-minute training presentation on a specific topic in neurodiversity that will be delivered to Trustees, Staff and trainee Neurodiversity Youth Advocates in the charity.
(vi) Conference Day Session Delivery: In April, deliver the presentation developed in March.
