What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Administrative Support Volunteer - Lancashire

Information about the role

You’ll be completing a range of administrative tasks to help the local team assist people who are experiencing the housing emergency or need support with benefits and debt issues. 

Location: Shelter Lancashire Hub, Blackburn Central Library, Town Hall Street, Blackburn. Volunteering activity could be in the Hub or in our community settings.

Availability: Volunteering will take place within our Hub service hours of Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm

This role fights the housing emergency by supporting people who are struggling with housing and bringing them one step closer to a safe home.

• The role, including learning and communications, are flexible, so can be tailored so they best suit your needs and preferences.
• You will be able to claim reasonable volunteering expenses in line with Shelter’s volunteer expenses policy. Where financial circumstances would be a barrier to volunteering, we may be able to offer these funds in advance.
• You will be able to access our volunteer support package, including our colleague assistance programme and Shelter’s network of mental health first aiders.

Established in 1841, Pharmacist Support has evolved from Benevolent Fund roots into a modern, forward-looking charity championing wellbeing across the profession.

The friendly Committee of South Harford & Tuckswood Community Association are looking for a new Secretary, if you would be happy to volunteer your time.

We meet once a month at Harford Community Centre on Mondays; usually the third Monday of the month.

The Secretary would prepare meeting agendas and take minutes of the meetings which would need to be processed on MS word.(laptop will be provided)

The Secretary would need to oversee the review cycle of our Centre policies, making sure these are updated as required. They would also need to act as the main point of contact with our HR company.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised and supportive Volunteer Campaign, Creator and Activity Support Manager to oversee new registrations, support Creators from onboarding through to campaign completion, upload new experiences to the platform and assist with live campaigns.

This role focuses on ensuring new Creators and Collaborators receive a smooth, welcoming and professional experience, that experiences are accurately uploaded and maintained, and that live campaigns receive the support needed to run successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new Creator and Collaborator registrations from initial application through to onboarding and next steps

• Review registration information, follow up where anything is missing and ensure records are kept up to date in the CRM

• Guide new Creators and Collaborators through the registration and onboarding process, including selecting their cause, campaign and experience where appropriate

• Arrange, support and conduct introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate.

• Upload new experiences to the Influential Stars platform, ensuring descriptions, pricing, links, images and key details are accurate

• Regularly review live experiences and update or remove listings where pricing, availability or exclusions have changed

• Send approved welcome emails, registration communications and onboarding information using existing templates

• Arrange and support introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate

• Monitor and support all live campaigns on the platform

• Liaise with creators throughout the live campaign period to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support

• Schedule, diarise, and send campaign communications using approved templates

• Coordinate with internal team members when campaigns go live

• Provide reminders, tips, and prompts to help creators maximise engagement

• Respond to creator enquiries and provide assistance as needed

• Conduct support calls where appropriate

• Maintain accurate records of communications and campaign progress using our CRM management system

Adoption Matters is a children’s charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies in the UK. We recruit, train and support individuals, couples and families looking to adopt and offer ongoing support and training. We also offer a support service for adopted adults and birth families, and a specialised therapy service.

In 2024, we launched our not for profit fostering agency, Foster Care Matters. South West Advocacy Network (SWAN) want to strengthen their Board of Trustees with up to 4 new Trustee appointments. These are voluntary positions and provide opportunity to help SWAN to develop its strategic direction and sustain innovative services to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

SWAN began life in Wiltshire and over the past 25 years has expanded into Somerset, Bristol, Dorset, Isle of Wight, West Berkshire, Portsmouth, East Sussex and Worcestershire. We deliver high quality, independent advocacy services supporting a diverse range of vulnerable people. Sooty, the nation’s much-loved bear and a true national treasure, has featured on RNIB’s collection boxes for over 50 years. Thanks to generous public support, these iconic boxes have raised more than £13 million in donations.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our network of Sooty Box collectors. In this flexible role, you’ll help place new boxes and collect and bank donations from Sooty Boxes in local shops, cafés and other businesses in your area. Whether you volunteer on your own, with a friend or as part of a group, you’ll be making a real difference in your community.

You can give as much or as little time as you like and fit the role around your other commitments.

You will support people to relight a spark to continue a hobby, interest or encourage them to explore and participate in new social activities.

Loneliness and isolation can affect anyone in life, whatever their age or family situation. Official data from the Office for National Statistics shows that rates of depression doubled during the COVID pandemic, and one of the major causes of depression is isolation.

Alterist

We transform textile waste into upcycled fashion, connecting brands and designers through marketplace and collaborations.

​We're looking for someone with PR or media relations experience who'd be happy to support Alterist by helping us spread the word about what we're building.

We've recently opened the Alterist Concept Store in London Fields – a space dedicated to showcasing emerging designers transforming textile waste into beautiful, one-of-a-kind fashion. Alongside the store, we're building a marketplace and community that's making upcycled fashion more accessible.

We're looking for someone who could help with things like:

• Sending out press releases
• Pitching stories to relevant publications
• Securing press coverage around the store, our designers and upcoming events
• Helping raise awareness of the growing upcycling movement

If you have experience in PR, fashion, sustainability or lifestyle media and would like to use your skills to support a purpose-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
