About Us

Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership is dedicated to supporting refugees and asylum seekers by providing immigration services, advocacy, a social hub and ESOL classes. Our IT systems play a crucial role in ensuring we can deliver our services effectively, and we are seeking an IT volunteer to help maintain and improve our digital infrastructure.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Volunteer to assist our organization with various technology-related tasks, particularly with updating and maintaing our website. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in IT while contributing to a meaningful cause. The IT Volunteer will work closely with our staff to ensure that our technology systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide basic IT support to staff and volunteers (troubleshooting software/hardware issues).

· Assist with setting up and maintaining computers, printers, and other devices.

· Help manage and update the charity’s website, databases and cloud systems.

· Recommend improvements to IT infrastructure and digital tools.

· Email communications with all functionalities in the charity’s IT.

Skills & Experience

· Knowledge of IT systems, troubleshooting, and basic network administration.

· Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, IONOS (our current host) or similar tools.

· Understanding of website maintenance (WordPress, Divi (our current website builder/theme), Stripe (payment gateway), WPForms (integrated with Stripe) or other CMS is a plus).

· Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.

· Good problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

· Previous experience in IT support, web development, or database management is a plus.

Role Description

Tech Support Volunteers provide one-to-one support to clients with their phones, tablets, computers, and other devices. Support may take place during tech drop-in sessions at our centre or via pre-arranged home visits for those unable to travel or using non-portable devices. The hours and time commitments are flexible depending on your availability, but we require volunteers to commit to a minimum of 3 sessions of 1 hour per month.

Full training and equipment are provided, and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Giving basic advice and support at tech support drop-in sessions
• Visiting clients at their homes
• Advising on assistive devices, apps, and accessibility features
• Troubleshooting basic issues with devices or connectivity

What will you be doing?

You should be an experienced and talented video editor/content creator.

The editor will

• Create short intro and ending animations/transitions for the festival's SM, SM ads and screenings
• Edit the interviews (Zoom/Teams) and additional footage/still to create social media ready files for YT, LI, FB, TW and IG
• Add subtitles and captions as needed for the videos

You would need to have your own professional equipment and software and a camera and lights (if you are also a videographer - preferred, not mandatory)

Home-Start Camden & Islington (HSC&I) offers free, confidential support and practical help to parents of children under five living in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.

Home-Start Camden & Islington is looking for friendly, local volunteers to help out at our various exciting community events!

We host all kinds of activities aimed at building confidence and helping build a community for example:

Walk & Talks

Foundling Art Course

Zoo Trips

Coffee Mornings

Museum visits

Park Days

Foodbanks

Every event is a chance to connect, support, and have a great time with local families.

We’re looking for a pool of volunteers.

We’re looking for people who can commit some dedicated time. Our events usually run in the mornings or afternoons so you would be needed from around 10am-1pm or 12pm-3pm. But we are looking for people who can commit to as much time as they can.

If you aren’t able to commit but are keen to help out with the events above, please also get in touch and we can discuss availability and options!

We will carry out a DBS check. 
Experience with families and children is required.
And we will also require references.

About Us

Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility is one of the oldest disability charities in the UK. This year we are celebrating our 225th anniversary, having pioneered specialist support across multiple generations since 1799!

We specialise in supporting people who have learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, who may also have sight loss. Our support ranges from providing person-centred support across our many supported-living and residential care provisions. Furthermore, we provide specialist eye-care services to children and adults alike and assists people to find paid employment for the very first time.

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY COACH

Time: Evenings, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (weekly)

Location, Fishermead Supported Accommodation

Connection Support provides a range of services supporting people who may be at risk of homelessness or who require social care. We work with people who may have experienced challenges such as debt, family circumstances, mental health difficulties, substance misuse, being a care leaver, learning disabilities, age-related needs, or physical disabilities.

Volunteers play a key role in helping us provide meaningful activities that improve wellbeing and reduce loneliness.

Could you help prevent loneliness and isolation in your community by running a weekly activity night?

· Do you have 1–2 hours a week in the evening (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm) to support residents by running fun and engaging activities?

· Can we rely on you to commit to a period of up to 12 weeks?

· Can you build positive, professional, and trusting relationships with residents in a friendly and non-judgemental way?

Our IT team ensures smooth operations for staff and volunteers by managing systems and providing technical support. We currently use Google Workspace applications.

The MILTON Keynes & North Bucks Branch is one of the branches of RSPCA, but we are also a separately registered charity looking after animals in our local area. Much of the animal welfare work of RSPCA is carried out through local branches, which is run by volunteers who have the support of the National Society of RSPCA.

IT First Line Support Volunteer responsibilities

Monitor IT Support Email: Check daily, sort and redirect issues as needed. User Management:

• Onboarding and offboarding staff and volunteers
• Creating and managing user accounts in Google Workspace
• Assigning email access and permissions

First-Line Support:

• Triage incoming IT queries
• Basic troubleshooting and escalation where necessary

Ticket Management:

• Log and track support requests
• Ensure timely resolution or escalation

Participate in Monthly IT Call: Share updates and collaborate with the team.

What we are looking for in an IT First Line Support Volunteer

• Experience in a similar IT support role
• Understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting
• Some knowledge of Google Workspace administration (advantageous)
