Data volunteer roles

To support MumsAid in understanding how effectively its services meet the needs of the mums we support. By gathering feedback and contributing to monitoring activities, this role helps ensure that service development is informed by lived experience and that accurate data is available to meet funding and reporting requirements. 

What will you be doing? 

• Review outstanding feedback responses. 

• Contact service users by phone to collect feedback in a respectful, supportive, and non-judgemental manner. 

• Assist with the design and distribution of surveys, questionnaires, and feedback forms. 

• Record and organise feedback data accurately to support analysis and reporting. 

• Support the monitoring of service delivery against agreed outcomes, standards, or targets. 

• Identify and highlight recurring themes, concerns, or suggestions to the relevant staff team. 

• Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. 

What skills and qualities can you bring? 

• A warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach when speaking to service users. 

• Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with parents who may be experiencing challenging circumstances. 

• Good communication and active listening skills.

Ucan Enfield Ambassador

What You’ll Do

As a UCAN Enfield Ambassador, you’ll play a key role in helping people find out about and engage with the UCAN project, which promotes healthy lifestyle changes through free exercise, nutrition and wellbeing sessions. You’ll help support sessions on the day and raise awareness in the community.

You will:

• Attend UCAN exercise or nutrition sessions to take the register and gather feedback from attendees
• Represent UCAN at community events or groups by helping to set up an information stall
• Talk to members of the public about UCAN and help them sign up
• Input register or sign-up data into the CRM system (training provided)

Skills You’ll Use or Develop

• Friendly, confident communication with the public
• Ability to use simple digital forms
• Reliable, organised and a good team player
• Willingness to learn and follow data protection guidance

Time Commitment

Flexible – ideally 2–4 hours per week

Can you help the Bristol Oxfam Online Shop raise money to support and empower some of the world’s most vulnerable communities?

We are looking for people with an eye for detail to help us research, prepare, photograph, describe and dispatch our homewares on Oxfam’s bespoke online shop. Our specialist online shop sells an eclectic range of clothing, accessories, books, music, film and homewares, sourced from our generous donors at Oxfam shops across the area.

We have had some very interesting homewares donations over the years, from antique postal scales to vintage bears and Wedgwood tea sets. If you know your homewares and can help us identify, price, list and photograph our stock your help will be invaluable! You will receive full training and support from our friendly and knowledgeable team.

What you can do at the shop:

We believe in empowering our volunteers so, depending on your interests and what you would like to get out of the role, you can get involved with any of the following aspects of running the online shop (and more!):

· Researching rare and valuable stock

· Selection, preparation and presentation of stock

· Photography and editing

· Creating accurate and engaging online listings

· Creating engaging content for the shop's social media platforms

· Packaging and dispatching items

As Treasurer, you'll be the guardian of our wonderful theatre's finances. It'll be your job to keep the committee updated on the theatre's financial affairs. You'll have a full understanding of the Bookkeeper's role, and oversee their work - or, if you wish, you may volunteer for that role too (details available on request). As Treasurer, you'll prepare an annual budget for the theatre, then manage and track progress, producing quarterly reports on actual income and expenditure vs budget. You'll then produce annual accounts for presentation to the independent examiner, and the wider membership at the AGM. The role requires around 25 hours per month of your time, plus an additional commitment at year end. You'll join the board of trustees, which entails a DBS check, and you'll attend monthly committee meetings, in which you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the general running of the theatre.

Training

Over the course of several months, you'll receive a comprehensive handover from the existing Treasurer. At first, you'll shadow them to gain a full understanding of what's required, then they'll shadow you, offering as much support as you need until you're ready to take the reins.

Skills

You'll have a love of numbers (and spreadsheets!), a forensic attention to detail, and great organisational skills. You'll be good at presenting data to people who aren't as mathsy as you, and keen to join a team of friendly, passionate volunteers. This role will be a great fit for a trainee accountant looking for experience, a retiree with bookkeeping or accounting skills, or a self-proclaimed maths geek with time to spare, and a desire to be part of a wonderful community of people.

Administration Assistant

What You’ll Do

Support the Age UK Enfield team with general admin tasks that help our services run smoothly. You’ll help with email communication, data entry, and other simple office duties.

You will:

· Help respond to and send emails from shared inboxes (with support and supervision)

· Input volunteer, client, or service data into our CRM system (training provided)

· Update spreadsheets, mailing lists or booking systems

· Support with printing, scanning or filing where needed

· Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling information

Skills You’ll Use or Develop

· Basic IT and email skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office)

· Attention to detail and a methodical approach

· Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

· Good written communication

Time Commitment

Flexible – ideally one regular half-day or full day per week
Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm

Location: Age UK Enfield office or remote
Reports to: Relevant team lead or manager, depending on the area of support
